Old Barrera and New Barrera were like two different fighters, he still had That FIRE in him when he needed it though!

U know what i wasnt a fan back in the day - unbelievably i know! Must have been the Morales factor, he my boy! Gotta love the Three Amigo's though (JMM,MAB & Morales) all Greats and all so watchable!

I didn't really grow up with them, I'm only watching them in retrospect so I don't even give a **** about the whole "rivalry." I jut love watching them fight!!

My dad actually got to go see Barrera-Morales III in Vegas. I had no idea until last year, crazy jealous.

Thats a fight id have loved to have been at! Barrera has fought in the UK a bunch (early on like) id have killed to go but was too young really....

U know when i went to see Hatton vs Maussa, (actually might have been Tszyu, i forget) we had tickets for a dinner before hand but we ended up just getting drunk at the pubs and skipped it. Guy sitting infront of me at the fight went - Marco Antonio Barrera was only ****ing there! Guy had loads of pics with him and said it was awsum! I was SO Gutted.

I think Morales-Barrera 1 is better than this.

Just because of how much of an event and grudge match it was. The excitment before it was amazing and it completely exceeded expectations.

That's fair. When the fights are THAT amazing, it's really splitting hairs between them.

He had a lot of these wars at a very early age in his career. I wiling to bet Perez saw MAB slowing down a bit, so they stressed the technical aspect a lot more to preserve his health.

                      Great fight, but I don't put it above the likes of Corrales-Castillo 1, Barrera-Morales 1, Ali-Frazier 1 and 3, Saad-Johnson 1, etc..
