The teachings in the Good Book lead to unity and respect for each other and the acknowledgement that there is a higher power that is beyond our comprehension. The things of this world are not of "God's" world and the appearance of things as we know it are deceiving because as I said, it is beyond our comprehension.

If the guy wants to support his religion, then let him do it but if he ever claims to be a prophet of some sort- he has gone too far. Claiming that you are equal to God, is arrogant and a serious sin.

No man has seen god all mighty at any time that is what the bible teaches,so someones color has nothing to do with salvation,god made everyone of us diffrent,The bible only speaks of one truth not diffrent versions,nobody can twist the word of god,people do tell diffrent things to fit there liking, but most of those people dont desire to put god first and have created a god that will not place jugdement on them.but the bible only speaks of one version of truth,but people will always try to say that everybody says something diffrent to ther liking and they want to believe it the way they have been taught it and not have to correct themselves and stop feeding the flesh.Anyone that truly studies the bible will know one truth and know that those who say diffrent things things,im just saying that it is not because they have read something diffrent,they just dont trully desire to study it and understand it,there life and there desires are more important,like i said i like boxing even though i know it is in no way something that god approves of,jesus said in end times there will be worshipers of god but proving false to its power.

Is the bible the book of God?

Hey guys,

Here are FACTS to think about:-

Consider the Book of 1 Samuel, when God instructs King Saul to attack the Amalekites: "And utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them," God says through the prophet Samuel. "But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey."

When Saul failed to do that, God took away his kingdom.

I thought ******s were violent based on what the US media tells us about the Quran. Clearly the bible leads when it comes to propagating violence!!!!

Oh, yeah, somebody tell us this is out of context!! Yet when the ******s say that, we refuse to buy it.

Something else people don't seem to get..I have a Christian friend, he is very religious and actually his job is as a missionary. He says "we are all sons and daughters of god, and we are all brothers and sisters". So really, what Andre Ward is doing here, is not like saying he is god's only son, he is basically saying what every serious Christian refers to them self as, which is a son/daughter of god. He's a son of a god, you're a son of god, all men are sons of god.

Those are Christians views, not mine. I'm the son of my parents.

To be fair, we are all son's and daughter's of God, being a catholic this is what I was taught growing up.

It's not an arrogant nickname at all, but pretty humble really.

And Ward's reasoning I read is that he has no intention of hurting his opponents permanently and so to have a nickname such as 'destroyer' or 'hitman' or whatever would not suit him as a serious christian man. Fair enough.

I'm a bit of a lapsed catholic myself, and I hate religion being brought into boxing. But Andre Ward is not shoving it down peoples' throats.

For me Tim Bradley is the worst offender as I've seen him on more than one occasion thanking God for victory. It makes me root for God to smite him on the spot.

As a previous poster has said, God doesn't give a **** about boxing.
