My view is leave religion out of sport.

I find it bad taste and irrelevant to the public.

"Son of God" just shows what a big ego Ward has.

He as far as a person can get from being a Christian, he's as sneaky, slimey and dishonest as they come. Real Christians would need to use crooked referees like Jack Reiss to distract their opponents and permit them to use illegal, dirty tactics like deliberate headbutts.

It would have been pretty awesome had Froch come out with "I'll beat you so badly you'll lose your faith in God" but he's too nice a guy for that type of thing.

A major part of my gameplan would have been to get Ward to hate me before that fight. I would have been calling him arrogant, a hypocrite, a likely drug cheat for working with Conte, I would have called him a protected b1tch who was too scared to fight away from home, I would have got RIGHT IN HIS FACE at the final presser and almost certainly have shoved him, maybe even more, and I would have attacked his religion right throughout the buildup

But I guess, thats just me.

Anything to affect Ward's focus when preparing, or his ability to stick to his gameplan when it rolls around.

I don't think Ward would give a crap if his opponent attacked his religion. All those other things you mentioned probably would get under his skin.

You could be right, but I think that any religious comments could likely affect Ward the most. I would have called him a hypocrite and a fake fighter for using steroids and hiding at home for protection, I would have questioned his ethics, morals, and integrity, and I definitely would have shoved him in the face at the presser.

Ward has shown amazing maturity for a young fighter, that is actually one of his best attributes. A settled Ward, is a happy Ward.
