he looked solid at 160 lbs, this fight very much could have happened... Winky was actually petitioning for this fight at one point.

im still waiting for someone to explain to me why calzaghe gets credit for a dubious decision win over hopkins yet winky gets no credit for dubious decision losses to vargas and taylor. if you are being consistent and giving calzaghe credit for beating hopkins you should give winky credit for beating taylor and vargas. you don't even have to take credit away from calzaghe just give winky his due! do you really let official decisions influence you that much? if so i guess sven ottke was really undefeated after all.

Winky might be the better fighter skills and talent wise. But, Calzaghe is the greater fighter IMO. I would put Joe into the HOF...I wouldn't vote for Winky to go in.

Resume and accomplishment wise Joe has Winky beat by a solid margin. I don't know how you can give the edge to Winky.

When I think hall of fame, Winky is not a name that comes to mind. He has not separated himself from his peers and his wins are extremely boring.

take jones off there, brewer was nobody only won a vacant title, eubank was done by the time they fought, veit was more protected than jcc jr, ward made kessler look silly compared to joe. like i said his record is just like pacman it looks good but under closer scrutiny it just dont hold up, plain and simple. you cant fight out your backyard your whole career, ask for a rediculous amount of money against the guys who are actually ppv draws and p4p rankes, jones jr specifically, the fight can only be in your hometown, and the you wanna act like all the american fighters are ducking you.

calzaghe seperated himself from his peers but the thing is his peers were complete bums till the last 2 years of his career. winky's peers were top fighters. a lil different.
