As I said a few days ago, Hopkins should just vacate the WBC now that the decision got overturned, and liberate himself from mandatory fights. He is too old for that ****.

He was the Ring Magazine Light-Heavyweight Champ in his first run as Champion, after beating Tarver. He can do the same again. As it stands, Dawson is considered boring inside and outside the ring (not to me, I prefer technical fighters like him), and Hopkins doesn't draw well either, unless he has a Ticket selling opponent. No economic interest in this fight for their promotions, and they would have to waste money just to set it up.

Let Chad have the WBC, and Hopkins can go after anyone he wants with the recognition as the Ring Magazine CHamp.
