what do you care, are you getting a cut from the fighters' purse?? we are suppose to get the best fight you idiot and this is what the ufc gives that boxing doesnt...

dude honestly, you're a moron, seriously your argument is one of the most ****** ones i've seen on this site... i've never heard of someone being mad that a promoter make fighters fight the best instead of making them rich....

The problem is that promoters/fighters are starting to think that you can't be great if you have a loss on your record, yet almost all of the greatest fighters have 3 or more. That's it, the lost has inflated into a "No hope for the future career stopper", and it shouldn't be that way.
Now everything is ****ed, fighters are not climbing up the rankings the natural way, that's why we get all these guys up there where they shouldn't be, and it creates a problem, the guys who have the talent can't climb up any further, it's sad but it's the truth. Not just GBP, lately it has been a consistent trend in the last 15yrs.

The current crop of fighters in the media light aren't the ones to carry the torch.
Duran at welterweight was already well past his best, When Ali fought Liston, Liston was nearly 40, according to his closest (in age) siblings' estimates, And Hernandez must have been on the slide as this was his last fight.

I think that Leonard, Ali and Mayweather got much better as they matured 2-3 years later.

It happened to Khan,Ortiz I believe the best promoter out there is Bob A he knows how to bring his fighter's up the right way and they become super stars.

          Yes and No.

GBP does throw their young fighters to the wolves early. But isn't that what we fans want to see? Everyone cries and complains about Ortiz not fighting a real opponent. Saul not fighting tough opponents. Rios not fighting anyone good. Khan fighting guys like Zab.

Yet you want to complain that they 'ruin' their fighters by making them fight great opponents?

I don't believe it ruins them either. They are young and can bounce back. If they can't, they were never as good as thought to be.

I think this idea comes from ODLH's rise. He didn't have an easy rise. He fought damn near everyone worth talking about. So he lets his fighters do that as well if they want it.

Unlike Arum who protects his fighters and won't have them fight anyone significant until near 30 years old.
