Is Jose Luis Castillo underrated???

Castillo was the man at lightweight. He gets respect, though a bit forgotten. He first came to American boxing fans on ABC against Stevie Johnson, than there rematch on ESPN good fights both times. Beating Stevie Johnson alone was a big win. So everybody already knew who Castillo was before he fought Mayweather. Thing is everybody thought he was just going to lay down for Mayweather and ended up beating Mayweather.

Yes i think he was underated as a little kid i loved watching Castillo,Gatti,and Corrales fight Castillo was a great warrior

One of the best lightweights in the last 20 years. Imagine he and Mosley back in the day? wow. Freitas avoided him like the plague too after his debacle to Corrales. Should have gotten the L against Mayweather also.

He wasn't underrated anyone who knows, knows he was one of the best of his times very good fighter who had an epic bout and many other quality performances.
