As a Cloud fan, I must admit he struggles a bit with guys that use lateral movement. We saw that against Yusaf Mack who was giving him some problems before Cloud eventually landed the KO blow. The scores at the time of the stoppage were 67-66, 66-67 & 68-65. Mack just used movement and boxed and he was able to frustrate Cloud and cut down his work-rate quite a bit.

Hopkins can obviously take a punch a lot better than Mack can. So I think hopkins great lateral movement, his angles, his good chin and overall ring smarts will be enough to edge out a decision.

i agree. . . i would like to see this fight because i think there would be some BRUTAL exchanges (mainly hopkins countering cloud). . . Cloud might get frustrate and try to press him all out. . . And I don't think Hopkins has ever been in the ring with an offensive fighter possessing the blend of size, speed, aggressiveness and power of cloud. . . he would make hopkins work for every bit of that decision. . .
