Word is King is lining up a Toney Rahman fight for February
I read that WBC will be deciding on who will be the mandatory for Rahman. I think the candidates were winner of SSS vs. Maskaev, Wlad, or Toney (not sure about this one).

I should have pasted the whole article:
Who says you can't win a decision in Germany? In a WBC eliminator, heavyweight Oleg Maskaev of Kazakhstan won a unanimous twelve round decision over German Sinan Samil Sam to claim the #1 spot in the WBC rankings and win the WBC International title in Hamburg, Germany. Maskaev (32-5, 25 KOs) was the busier fighter and landed very strong and decisive power shots throughout the fight. Sam was deducted a point for an intentional head butt. Scores were 118-110, 118-111, 116-112. Sam falls to 24-3 with 15 KOs. The bout was approved as an eliminator for the WBC's #1 ranking, but not as a final eliminator to determine the official challenger to newly crowned WBC champion Hasim Rahman. Ironically, six years ago, almost to the day, Maskaev scored the biggest win of his career with a brutal KO over Rahman. The WBC Board of Governors is currently considering who Rahman will face next.
However King has made it no secret he wants to set up the fight with Toney, and as sickening as it is, he has a lot of pull with the WBC.
In the interests of fairness, I should point out the conflicting view from Gary Shaw who is under the impression King is promoting toney-brewster for February.

We shall see...
Shaw doesn't promote Brewster or Rahman. King does.
Shaw doesn't promote Brewster or Rahman. King does.
Where did you read this?
Yes, I AM AWARE OF THAT.
But he works closely with King, and said this in an interview with the reputable Boxing News. This is what Shaw said King had pitched for a date he wanted for Lacy-Calzaghe.
I'm not saying one's right or wrong... I'm just saying there are conflicting stories and people should be aware of both. When has King said about his intentions? (Besides, I'd be more inclined to believe something from Gary Shaw's mouth about King than King's own)

This is the one I read a few days ago on the same website:
WBC has votes to crown Rock!
The WBC has now received sufficient votes from its Board of Governors to declare Hasim Rahman the undisputed WBC heavyweight champion of the world. The WBC will make it effective when all the votes are received and prepare an official ceremony to present Hasim Rahman as the champion. The Board of Governors will also meet in the near future to decide the next steps in the division, specifically who Rahman will be required to fight. 1) the winner of the elimination bout between Sinan Samil Sam and Oleg Maskaev, to be held in Hamburg, Germany this coming Saturday; 2) James Toney; or 3) Wladimir Klitschko. No decision will be made before the meeting of the Board of Governors is held.

Seriosuly man, what is your problem? Why are you so edgy and defensive?
I asked, because I read a lot of boxing sites as well, and all I've seen is King talking about Rahman fighting Toney.
I haven't read anything that Shaw's said about fighters he doesn't promote, so I asked where you read it.
What website have you seen this on?
As for your asking about Kings intentions, look at both ********* and ********** for their stories about the WBC, and Kings planned tournament. Both make mention of King's plan to match Rahman with Toney, and then start a tournament. Matching Brewster with Toney is a unification fight, and it would be part of that tournament when it happens.
