  • I'm so glad Hunter is with these guys. He's quite possibly one of the few managers for a top, world champ fighter who isn't purely self interested, but actually genuinely has the fighters best interest at heart.

They know a rematch anywhere other then dc khan wins as without the 2 points he would have won a UD & even 1 point deduction would have been a draw.
It was only a 1 point deduction overall in the end mate. Maybe you've already forgotten, or just choose to overlook it, but khan got a gift knock down too.

That's exactly what I was thinking! A 40 year old, shot to **** Judah and Prescott? Maidana is only on the level of a Kendall Holt anyway, so even he is overrated as a win. He's overrated in general. Bradley still has the best resume at 140 by far.

Unless fighting someone and getting knocked out at 130 means anything at 140? Otherwise, he's lost to Peterson, and only fought Maidana and Judah. Judah's time was many, many years ago. Maidana, like I said is only on the same level as a Holt.

        • imho khans the best deal for peterson atm, khan probably is the higher profile fighter among
other opponents for peterson. a rematch will bring in the drama and sensationalism of the first fight.

          • Do Khan Fans Understand the Meaning of a Mandatory Challenger??? Khan did not give Peterson a Shot, Peterson was the Mandatory and Khan would of been stripped had he not Fought Lamont. I will say that i find it Hilarious that Khan fans feel he is a big Draw in America when at one point SKy shut down their Boxing PPV rather than Showcase his Fights, but we are to believe He is Bigger and more popular over here? Get over Yourselves, Froch and Hatton even came out and said Khan lost but what do they know...they only Accomplished things Khan only wish he could, but they are probably jut Jealous

            • And which dance partner is Peterson going to make huge money with? Bradley? What a joke. This is another Breidis Prescott in the making. Khan makes a comeback fighting other opponents and Peterson begs for a rematch instead of the other way around.

That's why Khan needs to move on and forget about Peterson. I don't even know why you have to beg for rematches. If the other guy is not amenable for a rematch, forget about him, plain and simple. Move on and fight other fighters.

"Team Peterson won't be bullied into a rematch", says the title of the thread. What a double joke. If the one who is asking for a rematch is one who can't draw flies in his own backyard I'd call it bullying. Man this is King Khan.

              • If I were Peterson I would make Khan wait too, for several reasons. not sure why everyone keeps harping on this "big payday" crap. I'll take one title defense + a big payday fight over just a big payday. He's got to make cash while he can. Second, Khan was pretty classless following the fight. Like a finger wagging Kostya Tszyu told Zab Judah, "no rematch for you."

I thought Peterson was the #1 contender. And he didn't have to fight him in his backyard, I don't think Peterson would've cared. And classless - yes, that whole post-fight speech was classless. And immature.

                  • I don't know why people keep going on about the big payday Khan will give Peterson in the rematch. Peterson already turned down a 300K (would have been his biggest) payday before from Khan because he knows what he is worth.

Peterson can do whatever the f**k he wants now, he's the CHAMP. Khan might bring money to the table but that's all he's got going for him. Bradley has a belt to offer and Peterson seems like the kind of guy who would rather try to unify and redeem his loss Bradley.

Either way its a win win for Peterson. He can rematch Khan and make sure he has his own rematch clause in his contract so that if he loses he will get another shot at Khan and another big payday or he can fight Bradley and try to redeem his loss like all fighters should.

Two paydays are better than one, how is that hard to decipher? Considering the situation...Peterson can get anyone he wants, attempt to avenge his lost to Bradley if he chooses to because he's now in the driver's seat. Regardless of what he does, he should still has enough power to get Amir Khan, unless Khan continues to convince himself that he was the clear winner that night.

It's actually sad that you think the winner has to beg for the rematch, that says more about Khan than it says about Peterson.
