Dawson wants a rematch, Hopkins not interested

Exactly.
Now that Chad has lost everything, and has no choice, he wants another crack at it. He was ready to move on the way things were.
Not that i wouldn't mind another rematch. How about those foreign investors Bob Arum speaks of, invest in this match, they need it more than Floyd-Pac. They won't get any capital in return, lets just call it Boxing welfare.Comment

You're good at distorting things to fit your confirmation bias, aren't you.

give the old guy a break ffs...he's 46 years old. i wonder who's older...hopkins or chad's father.Comment

Seriously fcuk Hopkins.
Put on a stunt that could be compared to Cintron's leap of faith and now he's getting off scott free?
What pisses me off the most is that as boring as the fight would probably be, I'm REALLY interested in seeing how it would play out.Comment

I actually don't blame him for once.
He's hardly got time on his hands, why fight the same guy twice at this stage?
Why put more cash into a guys back pocket, whom injured you and put you out for awhile?
At least he doesn't want crap fights.Comment

Dawson is stuck in Boxing Purgatory. He is boring inside and outside of the ring. I don't mind watching him personally, as I prefer technical boxers.
But boxing promotions aren't gonna invest in matches that aren't gonna get them capital in return. If the first fight didn't draw anything, the second one won't either. IT'S OVER.
He can secure the mandatory position and force Hopkins to vacate the WBC, that's about it. Hopkins will remain the Ring Magazine Champ. And both can go chase Canadian money. Dawson with Pascal, and Hopkins with Bute.Comment
