Btw, to all those that actually believe Hopkins, I'll pose a question for you. Why did he get up ready and willing to KICK Antwun Echols arse when he was dropped more ferociously there than when Chad did this where he didn't attempt to fight?? Explain that Hopkins defense counsel.

Hmm, I don't know... Maybe it's because he wasn't 46 years old at the time and was in his prime as an athlete. The only person that knows if the injury was truly that bad is Hopkins. You can't just tell immediately if someone is really faking or not since what may just cause one person to say "Hmm, that hurt a bit but not a lot" could cause another to be left with a serious injury.

Also, there shouldn't be a rematch, the fight was dull anyways. It's not like it was a FOTY candidate or anything, it was just a really measured fight where both fighters were too cautious. If anything they should just go their separate ways. Dawson could definitely rematch Pascal or go after Cloud, Shumenov, or Cleverly for a belt and Hopkins can go do his thing and probably rematch Tarver (assuming that Tarver beats Wlodarczyk if they fight) or fight a super middleweight such as Bute (pretty winnable considering that Bute has garbage defense for right hands).

EXACTLY and why is Hopkins screaming out Bute's name when Bute one doesn't fight Lt Heavy. Hopkins lost me as a fan and I've flown to see him fight. I look for consistency in individuals and from Robert Allen I, Roy Jones II, Joe Calazaghe fight and now this one. I see a TON of consistency alright.

Hopkins should only be looking to fight and settle it with Chad Dawson PERIOD!!!

Well that fight was 11 years ago and he is a lot older now. Maybe, just maybe he can't take the same bumps now as he did back in the day.

I know there are a lot of people that dislike Hop but there is no way he should have had to wear that L on his record. He was clearly picked up and thrown. The MRI confirmed he wasn't faking his injury. Put the bias aside for a minute. The CSAC got this one right.
