Khan is a good young boxer, and a risk taker. I'll give him credit for that. He needs to learn to be more humble though, and quit mentioning Mayweather's name when he clearly isn't ready. How about beating Peterson and Madaina decisively first. Then maybe a Berto/Ortiz winner after that.

I highly doubt Khan's handlers saw Peterson as a threat. They expected a blow out.
If Khan was so brave he would have rematched Prescott already.

Lacey took his title to Whales
Kirkland just fought Angulo in Mexico City
Stop acting like Khan is the god of war just because he fought Peterson in his backyard.

Wow. I am genuinely surprised at the number of people saying that Khan didn't see it as a risk. I can understand that comment being made from the general public, those who are not really into boxing that much and only know of boxing from looking at fighters wiki/boxrec pages but on a Boxing forum people are actually trying to tell me that Khan didn't think Lamont Peterson was a risk??? Am i the only one that finds this comment truly baffling?? Yes everyone expected Khan to win, Khan himself must have super confident of winning but if your gonna try and tell me as a professional boxer he didn't think fighting someone like Lamont Peterson expecially in his back yard wasn't a risk then i truly dont know what to say to that.

Shouldn't he be getting praise for actually having the balls to fight in a live dangerous opponents backyard instead of getting killed for it?
The hypocrisy of us boxing fans is mind bogglingly funny. We cane people like Mayweather for being cautious throughout there boxing careers and avoiding many potentially dangerous situations and making very few risky moves in there career, yet when one actually goes old school like all the champs from the great era used to, he gets slated it for it lmao! Yes it was the wrong choice in hindsight but at least the man had he balls to take that risk, tell me who else would do what Khan did in his situation? Not many i can assure you of that.

Great thread, if more boxers were like Khan prepared to take risks to show they are the man, the sport would be in a much better place.
Boxing fans are fickle and change there opinion more often than they change their underwear.
And some people just love to hate.

Boxing fans are horrible...I never knew that until NSB.
Khan will be fine, he will improve, he will win big fights again, (if in fact he did lose this one) and a lot of these people will go back in the closet until the next time he performs poorly...it's pathetic really. I wish both Peterson and Khan nothing but the best.
