I haven't read anything about Khan lacking talent, he does, however, lack certain skills. One of the things that Khan lacks is head movement. He does not move his head very well, in fact his upper body movement is very minimal. He does not roll punches either (which would have helped him greatly in his recent fight with Lamont after being pushed onto the ropes). He has great feet and good lateral movement but never pivots to keep the action in the center of the ring. For a fighter with good reach, Khan rarely utilizes his jab. The Klitchskos, for example, have no inside game yet manage to keep their opponents outside due to good footwork and piercing jabs. If Khan cannot learn to fight on the inside then he must learn to use his jab and to use it well. Otherwise, he will continually struggle with pressure fighters that like to fight up close. Khan will not make it to the elite level unless he can learn, and effectively implement, these skills. The punches are harder at 147 lbs and the fighters are bigger. Personally, I think that Khan has the potential to box Bero/Ortiz silly. But at his current level, he would probably get stopped by both.

He doesn't struggle against pressure fighters at all he just doesn't outpoint them in every round or knock them out...

Trust me Khan will come bet bigger and stronger, Bradleys probably on steroids and he's still scared of Khan. Steroids are the standard ting in American High schools enit. He looks ripped aswell no? Mayweather knows one hell of a lot more about drugs and steroids than any other boxer aswell.
Khan will come back and take the WW by storm. He ent scared of noone and won't turn them down on the basis of money. He needs to and will keep Freddie 'cos he's the best in the world, he rebuilt Khans career and Hopkins can't speak higher of the man.

Khan will come back for sure, but one thing this fight showed is that he may be talented, but he is nowhere near as good a pro fighter as he thinks he is. His style is very amateurish. He has no inside skills and has a lack of adaptability.

I laughed the first time he mentioned fighting Mayweather, and after this weekend, I laughed again. Khan has zero experience of fighting at that level. He was given an easy ride to championship level and his one venture into the unknown saw him splattered in under a mintue (in an interview before that fight, he claimed that in one or two fights, no one would be able to touch him! LOL) . He applied himself well since, but has some severe flaws in his game. He should stop mentioning Mayweather or any other potential opponent at elite level. It is that kind of attitude that led to his defeat (looking past what is in front of him instead of being focused on the "here and now").

All the talent in the world doesn't cover up for a less than stellar attitude. I haven't heard Khan once give Peterson any credit for his tenacity. Just him going on and on about it being everyone else's fault but his own. Great fighters need to take a good look at themselves. If Khan can't do that, he'll never get better. Work on your game, Khan and take it one fight at a time. Stop the ****** Mayweather talk.

Haters would hate no matter what but I respect how he has comeback and achieve what he did in 3 years after a devastating KO Lost against Prescott, He took some big shots against Peterson which was a shock to me.

Ray, you do know that Peterson is by no means a big puncher, right?

Maidana had khan dong the two-step and the punchers get bigger at 147lbs. Khan needs at least one big win at the weight first, or all the excuses are lined up if Mayweather whoops his ass (highly likely). It's Hatton all over again.

I don't doubt for a moment he will come back stronger. He has a lot of learning to do if he wants to implement it in his next fight, a rematch and thats the worry.
If he fights Peterson next and hasn't learnt an effective inside game and how to clinch and to use his jab more to dictate the fight then he's going to be under pressure again and he needs this all done by March....

Mayweather would KTFO Khan right about now, but Khan's style ent Amateurish. I reckon he wanted to prove to all the haters (Like Yourself) and critics that he had a chin

You haven't heard Khan once give Peterson any credit for his tenacity? Did you watch the fight? Straight after the fight he told Larry that Lamont made it tough for him n dat. He has also congratulated him since a few times still, as have Golden Boy and Khan promotions.
Great fighters need to take a good look at themselves! Your spot on fam, they do, and he has, always does and always will. What did he do after the defeat to Prescott? He sacked most of his team, changed his diet, his day to day life, moved to America and worked wid Roach.

Floyd Mayweather is not unbeatable, Far from it!!!
He just makes everyone believe it by ducking every top fighter in his division e.g Never fought Cotto, Margarito, Pacquiao and Tszyu. He waited until DeLaHoya and Mosley were past it to fight them. He's top class boxer, but he ent no Muhammad Ali, SRR, Leonard, he don't even belong in the ATG's where he currently is unfortunately.
Just shows you that ducking your way through your career really works

Sorry Marshall, but I don't see what is so different about how Khan fights now as he did in his amateur days (yes, I have been watching him that long and the sport much longer). He tries to apply Roach's "in and out" style but reverts to type when things aren't going all his way. Sloppy footwork, throwing ineffectual combos, sometimes losing his balance in the process and possessing no inside game whatsoever. His hand speed is exceptional, when given time and space but he struggles when under pressure, badly.

So Khan was being "macho" and trying to show the likes of me that he's got a chin, was he? How did that work out for him? Maybe he should have concentrated on adapting to his opponent and winning in style like he said he would instead of taking unnecessary punches to prove something. After the fight, Khan slammed everyone from the ref to the city before mentioning Peterson or admitting that he didn't adapt well to the pressure.

Before telling other to get a clue, learn some boxing history, son. Watch Mayweather's post fight interview after fighting Philip N'Dou (he was still at 135lbs then and that was around 2003/4). He listed both Mosley and De La Hoya as people he wanted to fight back then. Neither was near his division and Mosley certainly wasn't that keen. Kostya Tzsyu was injured, almost to the point of retirement in 2004/5. When he came back, Mitchell was his comeback fight, Hatton was his mandatory. He retired after the Hatton fight, so please tell us when Mayweather had the chance to fight him? At 140lbs, Cotto was still pretty green and started to show vulnerabilities so Arum wasn't letting him anywhere near Mayweather. Marg is someone Mayweather could've fought. But he decided to go for the former and current number ones in the division in Judah and Baldomir, rather than the WBO champion in Margarito. Then it was the bout the MAYWEATHER had been chasing for years (again, watch the post fight interview). If you've got Margarito at 147lbs and De La Hoya at 154lbs, which one are you going to take? That would be like telling Khan he should fight Berto if a Mayweather bout was on offer tomorrow. After that, Hatton was the one he was supposedly scared of next. Undefeated and again, with the crowding style to beat him. He was accused of being scared of Mosley too- until he beat him up, of course. THEN Mosley was too old.

Mayweather may be an arrogant imbecile, but he has faced bigger guys without asking for catchweights, or weight stips when challenging for titles in a new division. He isn't unbeatable at all. Just Khan ain't the one to do it.
