Still thinks Khan will bounce back from this and regain all the hype and eventually fight Mayweather?
This is deja vu for me, I remember seeing this place when Khan got Ko'd by Prescott, the EXACT same hate bandwagon emerged, where everyone had their money on Khan being a flop. I don't think any of them would've guessed that Khan would then go on and beat the likes of Judah, Maidana and Kotelnik.
I just think people are blindly following this hate bandwagon and are completly underestimating him, some calling him "talentless".
That first round was significant, it showed class, speed and skill, peterson had no idea where he was after being dropped twice - pretty sure most people, even though expecting this, didn't think Khan would school him that bad at the start. Imo that first round could've troubled anyone, including Mayweather, don't see him "countering" ****.
Furthermore, I think right now, Khan has the most potential to improve as a boxer. I mean, the flaws we saw in this fight are so minor, this is what I picked up;
- Endurance
- Inside game
- Pressure fighters
All of the above can be nullified if given the right training. And once he improves that, with the speed and power he has, he can definitly compete against the very best. **** like "weak chin" is something you just can't improve much, if you have a weak chin, it's going to always burden you, but Khan proved that weak chin theory wrong imo, it's satisfactory for a Champ.
Anyways, you probably won't agree, but in 1-2 years time, Khan will fight Mayweather, and in all honesty, I think it'll be "closer" then we think.
