His defense is just horrible and i'm really surprised Peterson didn't time his little flurries and send Khan on ***** street with a check hook. Dude is so open for a check hook it's not even funny. His speed is the only thing stopping his opponents from taking a risk and throwing it, but half way through the fight he's slows down noticeably because of all the energy he exerts with his pitty pat flurries. Man that pisses me off saying that cause it's so darn amatuerish! Ok i'm done.
its almost if khan needs to knock the guy out in the first 5 rounds, if he cant he is open to almost anything happening...

Froch hand speed has improved(obviously not to khans extent, which is incredidble) alot.

IMO he beat kessler but deserved the loss due to his **** workrate. So although he won, it was a important loss to improve his fighting.

What i was pleased with froch was hes finally realised the best chin is a chin that doesnt get hit.

Back to khan, i just worry for his health, its almost if he doesnt kncok the guy out, he takes some huge shots. That look brutal. Another 3 years of that is not healthy.
You hate him yet you worry for his health? C'mon..

Roy did rely on athleticism, no denying that, but he had real skills to go along with that athleticism, far more than Khan could ever dream of. He didn't fight anything like Khan does.

Not saying Roy fought like Khan i'm saying he relied too much on his athleticism. Roy had more skill then Khan but as you know when that athleticism started to decline he was in trouble. I see Khan making that same mistake in that he'll rely on it too much and won't learn to box more effectively. Just saying he's too comfortable in the way he's doing things now. He doesn't have to exert all that energy and start to fade late if he would stop the darn flurries, rely on his jab a bit more, improve his darn footwork(if possible), and tighten up that defense.

Khan could be so dominant if he learned some of the basic boxing knowledge that was second hand to a fighter like Roy. It always sucks to see a fighter so talented not learn fundamentals that would make him so much better.

to address the OP and stop making silly jokes i think froch is a lot slicker than for what he's credited but he's slow as all get out of foot and upper body

khan's difficult to hit early, (judah, kotelnik both come to mind.)
but when his legs lose some of their steam and he starts to decline mentally and stop boxing he doesnt do a great job defending

what the hell is he doing laying on the ropes?
talk about a horrible habit. you know he's going that in the gym if he's doing it regularly in these fights.

roach should slap him next time he covers up and lays there when he's sparring. he's not manny pacquiao. when manny lays on the ropes he's looking for his opponent to open up, whereas khan just takes a break. he doesn't have a dynamite chin or a knockout punch in either hand, especially so close, like pacquiao. he just covers up and reels on the ropes. horrible habit. it almost cost him against maidana.

khan is starting to piss me off these days. he's not a respectful or humble guy.
he's got flaws in his game. he should have at at least acknowledged how well peterson performed.

also, with the nature of some of his fights at this young age ( wars with maidana and peterson, and a knockout loss to prescott early in his career,) he's going to probably end up with a short career in boxing unless he develops more craft or stays away from big punchers at WW

he's also got to stop wasting so much energy early. he still fights like an amateur. he's obviously athletic enough to box for 12 rounds. roach has to work on his pace and all that energy he wastes.

i think i'm done unloading on khan
                lets throw some thunda

Yup, far to many similarities between him and Pac, and by that i mean khan "trying" some of Pacs game.

Surely Roach must be distancing them both, in terms of styles?

What applies for one fighter surely doesn't apply for the other..
