KHAN is easier to hit than carl froch

I thought KHAN won the fight. But this is seperate from who did or didnt win.

IMP khan has to be really careful that he doesnt end up like his trainer.

He had a brutal ko a few years back, and a kncok down, but hes had some brutal fights as well with maidana and peterson and taken some massive shots.

For the "froch has no skill" etc, he gets hit alot less times than khan, even the kncoikdown against taylor wasnt a brutal shot, it was a shot that caught him of balance.

Khan says hes fighting for another 3 years. if that is the case then its another 3 years of brutal shots and upper cuts.

He will end up like paul williams if not careful

Obviously, Carl Froch's slippery slick snake like skills are second only too Margarito.

the thing is, they both possess two different types of defenses and abilities. . . to simplify, amir khan's defense relies heavily on distancing himself with foot speed, and using a high guard. . . he is either "all offense", or "all defense". . . Carl Froch relies more on HEAD and UPPER BODY MOVEMENT and REFLEXES. . He TRANSITIONS his offense and defense more; he will STAND IN THE POCKET and try to make you miss, and then fire back. . even if you don't miss, he still times you and fires back (He has REALLY GOTTEN better - note Kessler, Abe and Johnson fights)

Froch is not NEARLY AS FAST as amir khan, in terms of raw hand and foot speed. . HOWEVER, Froch has better timing and reflexes, and overall a higher ring IQ in regards to "reading and reacting". .

yea i agree. I hate khan, but he could be so indestructable if he had som e inside game.

Froch hand speed has improved(obviously not to khans extent, which is incredidble) alot.

IMO he beat kessler but deserved the loss due to his **** workrate. So although he won, it was a important loss to improve his fighting.

What i was pleased with froch was hes finally realised the best chin is a chin that doesnt get hit.

Back to khan, i just worry for his health, its almost if he doesnt kncok the guy out, he takes some huge shots. That look brutal. Another 3 years of that is not healthy.

I think everyone now knows Khan is nothing but a glass jawed b*tch who runs around allnight like a f*g,
Amir needs to get KTFO for a dose of reality.

            F*ggot ain't ready for Floyd.

yup. . well said. . he "beat kessler, and beat him up", but i can live with teh decision; kessler was relentless and all heart in that fight. .

froch is a damn machine with his stamina, chin, and overall punch resistance, but like you said, he has finally realized that the best chin is one that doesn't get hit. . . his boxing IQ and ability has really improved; he's a true "read and react" type of guy now. . .

khan just can't transition between his offense and defense! hell back the guy up with blindingly fast combinations, and if the guy doesn't get scared to press him back, or go down, he'll just stand there with his guard up and get bashed, or he;ll have to expend a lot of energy by skeeting around the ring. . . for a guy with his fleetness of hand and foot, he really doesn't have very good instincts or reflexes. . it's like he only has two gears. . . he can't "put it on cruise control" and just stay in the pocket, box, and pick his shots while PICKING OFF incoming shots. . .

horrible chins and great defenses on those two

and speed speed speed. two wimps, too.

to address the OP and stop making silly jokes i think froch is a lot slicker than for what he's credited but he's slow as all get out of foot and upper body

khan's difficult to hit early, (judah, kotelnik both come to mind.)
but when his legs lose some of their steam and he starts to decline mentally and stop boxing he doesnt do a great job defending

what the hell is he doing laying on the ropes?
talk about a horrible habit. you know he's going that in the gym if he's doing it regularly in these fights.

roach should slap him next time he covers up and lays there when he's sparring. he's not manny pacquiao. when manny lays on the ropes he's looking for his opponent to open up, whereas khan just takes a break. he doesn't have a dynamite chin or a knockout punch in either hand, especially so close, like pacquiao. he just covers up and reels on the ropes. horrible habit. it almost cost him against maidana.

khan is starting to piss me off these days. he's not a respectful or humble guy.
he's got flaws in his game. he should have at at least acknowledged how well peterson performed.

also, with the nature of some of his fights at this young age ( wars with maidana and peterson, and a knockout loss to prescott early in his career,) he's going to probably end up with a short career in boxing unless he develops more craft or stays away from big punchers at WW

he's also got to stop wasting so much energy early. he still fights like an amateur. he's obviously athletic enough to box for 12 rounds. roach has to work on his pace and all that energy he wastes.

i think i'm done unloading on khan

Well said man. Khan reminds me a lot of Roy Jones. Now we all know he's not fit to even hold Roy's jock strap, but he reminds me of Roy in that he's relying too much on his athleticism and not learning to box intelligently. His defense is just horrible and i'm really surprised Peterson didn't time his little flurries and send Khan on ***** street with a check hook. Dude is so open for a check hook it's not even funny. His speed is the only thing stopping his opponents from taking a risk and throwing it, but half way through the fight he's slows down noticeably because of all the energy he exerts with his pitty pat flurries. Man that pisses me off saying that cause it's so darn amatuerish! Ok i'm done.
