Ummm, he out threw him by like 200, but when it comes to landing, he outlanded him by only 12... and since both landed 220+ punches... 12 isn't a lot.

You know I thought Khan won the fight when I watched it live but after watching it a second time I dont have a problem with the decision. I dont have a problem with the points being taken away (maybe the 2nd was a bit harsh). But Khan needs to learn how to get out of trouble by either tieing up or sliding to the side. You cant just hang against the ropes and push off with both hands. Hes basically using the push as a punch to bail himself out of trouble.

Peterson landed the cleaner harder shots, better connect percentage, and moved forward affectively so I dont see what all the conterversy is. Khan looked like a clown in the ring. Back peddling and getting blasted and then throwing your hands up like you werent affected to influence the judges. Not the same as moving out of the way. Im glad this punk lost because hes arrogant. He needed a lesson of humility. Freakin Buster.

WHile I thought Khan won the fight, the deductions were fair and cost him the fight. Yes it was some hometown cooking IMO but he was warned. I agree with you about how he was using the push.

All week Khan talked about beating floyd after moving to 147or tim bradley ducking him. Then about 5 minutes in to every interview he'd say oh yeah I'm going to beat Peterson. This should've never been this close a fight.

Amir lost a lot of respect and potential money with this performance. Thats what happens when your trainer has you focused on beating floyd mayweather intead of your opponent.

If someone coming in head and elbows first, you use your hands to push them or your elbows. The ref was letting Peterson go in with his head. Khan had a choice of either taking headbuts or defending himself. The ref was a total joke, it's amazing how you all ignore this and the fact you can't post a scorecard because you know khan won

please just stop the BS !!!! Peterson head was never an issue the whole fight, never!!! How could his head be an issue against a guy that was running the whole fight and pulling Peterson's head..

This is one of the few times that I agree with Lederman, the ref cost him the fight period.

The ref wouldn't have to have deduct a point if Khan would have stopped breaking the rules for at least one round.

Your mind = Blown.

Its funny when you think about it.

If Khan would have gone one round without pretending his was pushing a kid on a swing, he may have won.

But if he didn't push, he had nothing else in his arsenal to keep Peterson from beating him into the ground.......he was turning his back on the ropes.......

Khan and his sympathisers mentality:

- Foul constantly from the opening round.

- Get warned 10-15 times a round to stop pushing/headlocking/holding behind the neck

- Get told that if he keeps doing it he'll have a point taken.

- Keep doing it till the ref finally gets pissed off after warning you 50 times and takes a point.

- Continue to do it constantly till another point is taken.

- Act like you have no idea why another point was taken for continuously doing something you already had a point taken for.

What the 'sympathisers' are saying is that the referee should have halted the fight early on and given Khan a stern warning that if he does it again, a point will be deducted.

Good referees don't follow the rules with a strict interpretation. Good referees use common sense, in a game where fighters are constantly breaking the rules.

How often do you see a referee penalize a fighter for pushing? It almost never happens. We see guys land low blows and blatant headbutts more often than Khan pushed Peterson without getting docked a point.
