Would not be all of this debating about how close the fight was if khan was really as good as he let off. Talking about he is the only one to beat mayweather? Dude underestimated peterson and believed his own hype. Finally the underdog gets the nod in a decision on a close fight. Marquez got robbed by the judges a atleast Peterson gets his due. Khan was running.

Lederman wanted Khan to win so bad- you could tell when he was giving Khan rounds he clearly lost. HBO had a different agenda, we all know but the right man won on Saturday. There is absolutely no way Khan won that fight.

it could have went either way, both fighters showed heart, khan showed major weaknesses tho... mainly on the inside it was a sad sight! khan let the fight get to close in that guys hometown... remember froch dirrell? it happens, it was no way a robbery tho, the ref warned him several times and he got away with it more than alot during the fight. yes its a petty call but its the right call.. you have to adjust to the ref, every ref is different. peterson did not fight dirty he just has an akward stlye where he comes forward and keeps the pressure, khan and roach obviously did not plan well and khan did not adapt well once his atheticism couldnt get him the win...

Fight could of gone either way...You can argue Peterson won it, you can argue Khan won it..personally with the point deductions (which were pretty bull**** and biased) i had it as a draw.

Your mind = Blown.
Its funny when you think about it.
If Khan would have gone one round without pretending his was pushing a kid on a swing, he may have won.
But if he didn't push, he had nothing else in his arsenal to keep Peterson from beating him into the ground.......he was turning his back on the ropes.......
Any other ref in there and Khan would have had a UD and this should not be the case with boxing. I had it by one to Khan even with the deductions having watched it twice the max rounds I could give Lamont was 4 but like I've said he fought a great fight and deserves credit.
Lamont also pushed against the ropes and went in with his head as an observer double standards come to mind, maybe you should watch the fight again this time without your hate goggelsLast edited by komodo; 12-12-2011, 11:21 AM.

The champion did not fight like one and the Challenger made it a good fight by landing more and the better punches - this is not rocket science! The ref warned Khan plenty of times and the pushing was getting out of control - I was glad when the point was deducted but Khan kept doing it. Watch the tape! Pushing is not allowed!! Peterson won - Khan is an OK fighter but he is NOT a superstar like he thinks he is. I'm glad he had the balls to fight a top opponent unlike MayFlower who only cherrypicks and has never fought the Top opponents of his time.

Peterson wasn't leading in with his head, he was fighting from a crouch to get inside like ANY inside fighter would do against a quick punching outside fighter.
Maybe we should try and find some vids of Ali complaining that Frazier was coming in too low. Or maybe we can find some footage of Ray Robinson *****ing about how La Motta was always fighting out of a crouch and how it annoyed him?
