  • Post ya scorecards for the Khan Peterson fight..

    rd 1..Khan starts fast scores a KD(although questionable)gave him a 10-8 rd

rd 2..Another Khan rd,he was effective threw out but Peterson was really starting to come on in the middle of the rd..10-9

rd 3..Peterson's rd,he fought on his terms and dictated the action..10-9

rd 4..Peterson's rd,again they fought on his terms..10-9

rd 5..Khan comes back on,this was a Khan rd imo..10-9,Just want to point out that Khan was very dirty this rd,holding, pushing, hitting on the break and I counted two low blows..This ref was no nonsense as well..To start the 6th rd he told Peterson's corner if they delayed the fight again he would take a point..

6 rd.. Close rd I gave it to Khan tho,10-9..I want to point out that the ref did yell at Khan to stop pushing..He should have heard this ref was getting tired of his ****..BTW this was a rd I scored for Peterson last night..

7 rd..Another Peterson rd,10-8 because of the point deduction..The commentators(esp Jim)are very bias, how you gonna say pushing(excessively I might add)is illegal then turn around and question why the ref would take a point??Got to love Max,he was the only one who reacted in a respectable fashion..

8 rd..Another Peterson rd,Peterson land a hard low blow in this rd too..10-9

9 rd..This was and even rd imo, both did some really good work..Hard to see who got the better of it imo 10-10..Also Khan was pushing none stop in this rd,this was the time the ref should have gave another hard warning..

10 rd..I gave this rd to Peterson, more effective threw out..10-9

    11 rd..Khans rd,but once again I counted three to four pushes..10-9

12 rd..9-9 rd because of the points being taken away, let me just say as well if he would have gave Khan a real hard warning again he would have had to D.Q. Khan imo..I mean Khan was pushing blatantly(extending his arms)and as the ref you have to let Peterson do what he does well to give him a shot in the fight..I hate the fact that this even played out like this but hey it is what it is...

I got a draw, and that's with the deductions...Which means those points being taken away were the biggest factors of the fight..Great fight just hate that the ref was the deciding factor in it...

I'm not going to go round by round, but I had it 7-5 Khan, which I think works out to 113-112 Khan. There were a couple close rounds late though, so 6-6 or 7-5 the other way is obviously completely justifiable.

Peterson undoubtedly deserved the decision more than Khan though, and I'm glad he got it.

        Khan Peterson
        10 8

        10 9

        9 10

        9 10

        10 9

        10 10

        8 10

        9 10

        10 9

        9 10

        10 10

        9 9

        113 114 - Peterson.

A lot of those rounds were very very close.

In most rounds I felt Khan threw more punches but Peterson was cleaner and landed the better shots in most rounds.

4, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12 were all close rounds that could easily have gone either way IMO. 6 I felt f anyone's was Khan's round but was still very close.

As you can see there, without the point deductions, Khan wins the fight. And would have on all 3 of the judges scorecards. But at the end of the day, that is no one's fault but Amir Khan's.

As you can also see, this fight (with the deductions) could have easily been a Khan win or a draw.

On the 2 rounds I scored even ( 6 and 11) if they were anyones, they were Khan's. If I were to give Khan roud 6 which could strongly be argued he won, then It's a draw on my card.

If I were to give him the 11th which could also be aruged, he could win the fight by a few points with the deductions.

So, basically, I see it as a very close fight that could have gone either way. Can't argue with the Decision.

              K - P

              10 - 8
              9 - 10
              9 - 10
              9 - 10
              10 - 9
              10 - 9
              8 - 10
              9 - 10
              10 - 9
              10 - 9
              10 - 9
              9 - 9

Final totals: Khan 113 - 112 Peterson. Was a tough fight to judge without having to deal with deductions. It would have been harsh to issue a 10 - 8 round for Peterson in round 12 purely because Khan had to go all out in the last round and he'd have won the round if it wasn't for the foul. The first point deduction was a 10 - 8 round for Peterson, though.

A number of rounds could have went either way, depending on if you were looking for combination punches or clean power punches.

I just rewatched the fight. Khan won and the ref really was biased.

I'm happy for Lamont but Khan did not lose the fight.
