    Official Team Khan Statement

    Team Khan Official Statement,

Firstly, we would like to congratulate Lamont Peterson on his performance against Amir Khan. Not only has he shown that he is a tremendous fighter inside the ring, but also a great man out of the ring.

Following the decision in the fight, Team Khan and Golden Boy Promotions intends to make inquiries with the District of Columbia Boxing and Wrestling Commission, the IBF and the WBA regarding the performance of referee Joseph Cooper and will also be seeking clarification regarding certain ambiguities with respect to the scores of the fight.

We look forward to an immediate rematch with Lamont as confirmed by Lamont and his manager/trainer Barry Hunter.

The ref wasnt great, but I thought it was a fair result. Maybe 2 deductions was harsh, but even as a Khan fan, no real complains. Props to LP, hope Khan can bounce back.

Great great fight, I just wish the ref didnt decide the result. Lamont gave it his all, I always liked him as a person and he just made me a certified fan. Such a nice guy and to be unified champ of the world after living on the streets is a true rocky story!

I had Khan winning the fight by a couple of points. He still has trouble fighting on the inside and can be drawn into a war. He didnt pop his jab enough and when he had lamont hurt in the 9th he didnt go take advantage. Ref was terrible never seen him before and hope to never see him again.

Really good fight and looking forward to the re-match even more. Well done Team Peterson, unlucky Team Khan.

The scorecards where on point, the problem was the referee, wich I agree with the Khan's, that he played a unnecesary role. The 2 points he took from Khan where bull****!!

The only card that was wrong last night was the 115-110 card. The ref shoulda deducted points for Khan pulling down Petersons head constantly did the same to Maidana anyway he did warn him plenty off times i think the second point deduction was more so for the uppercut when the ref called break

yeah, don't blame the judges but the ref.

Even with the points I had Khan slightly up.

                    Peterson won fairly.

Khan is doing his reputation of being arrogant no favours with his complaining and crying after the fight; he fouled constantly, was warned several times and in turn was deducted points as he never stopped the pushing down and shoving.
