Peterson's trainer - How good was he in the corner?

IMO, GREAT! Very motivational. Not only was he giving Peterson advice on what to do in the ring i.e. throw the double, triple jab. But he rallied up his DUDE's spirit. Inspired him. Barry Hunter, deserves props!

Hell yea I was loving the sound bites out of Peterson's corner all night.
Peterson's trainer reminded me of the old heads on the block back when I was growing up.

      "Keep your head up!"

Inspired me. The both of them made me believers last night.

I believe it was after the 9th or 10th round when he brought up Peterson's struggles in the street. I was like damn. If that doesn't make you work harder, then I don't know what will. Peterson got up, and went to work!

Khan's corner was half as good as Peterson's. I can't remember hearing Roach instructing Khan on any good boxing advice.

Yeah I agree totally. He smacked Peterson in the face at one point and told him to stay with it and pay attention.......never seen anything like that before. I also noticed that they wouldn't let Peterson even sit down on the stool in between rounds until late in the fight, Hunter is a hardcore guy but that is what it takes sometimes.

I loved the part where he told him to keep his head up and pushed his forehead back to get Peterson's full attention. The fire, *****ing to his team for being too slow, and talking about them being there before since Lamont was a kid was great.

Roach sounded befuddled at times during the first half of the fight. Towards the end we heard the "Put him on his ass" comment again. I know Freddy's a great trainer, but he seemed off last night.

That was amazing. Had me pumped. His corner work and the emotion after the decision was announced showed just how much this meant to everyone in that corner. It was everything right with boxing.
