Well i just went right off of Amir Khan! He and Lamont Peterson put on one helluva show but while Lamont was classy in victory Khan was bitter and classless in defeat....

I personally scored the fight a draw but anyone could see it was a close fight and when its that close, in your opponents backyard, ur fighting off the backfoot and u have had 2 points deducted u cant complain with the decision. The point deductions were fair too, infact he's lucky he didnt get more as he constantly pushed Peterson down and/or away...

I was rooting for Amir but it was impossible not to be happy for Lamont - what a story and u could see it meant the world to him, Cong**** Lamont Peterson!

I agree.

After all his talk, you'd expect he could give credit to the man who beat him as opposed to cooking up poor excuses about fighting two people in Lamont and the ref. He was fouling constantly and could have had more than 2 deductions. Very good fight, but he said going in he couldn't let it be close away from home, he allowed it to be very close, kept fouling and then comes away with those excuses? Poor show.

I had Peterson by 1 point at the end of 12 rounds, the difference being the 2nd point deduction...While I agree I have nvr seen 2 seperate point deductions for pushing, Khan was pushing down on lamont's head the whole time...it wasnt that Lamont was barging forward with his head as Khan claimed, he was just standing his ground and forcing khan back onto the ropes.

Khan has no class thats why I dont like him. I dont dispute that his a good fighter, but his not great like he claims (or his die hard fans).

PPl like Ali and Mayweather trash talk and say they are the best because they were able to backup their talk in the ring..."it aint bragging if u can back it up"

He got the deduction after a good few warnings yet continued to do it, the ref HAD to take another point

If cotto-margarito was refereed in the same manner cotto would have got stopped again...fact. People don't seem to be understanding that the ref put khan in a phone booth with Peterson last night, he took away all of his real estate. Never broke the fighters up, and if khan tried to make room for himself he warned him, and took away 2 points in the end. I had this same convo with Rome, and in the end he agreed with me, the ref basically turned into a brawl, if these same rules were applied to cotto-margs, Ali-Frazier those guys would have lost points too, Ali in all of his fights all the way through his career pushed guys heads down, pushed them away, used elbows. Khan does need to improve his inside game, but last nights ref was a farce! Point deductions for pushing off is nonsense, for the record he warned Peterson numerous times for coming in with his head low, but no deduction for him.

To be honest none of this reaction surprises me because so many people here hate Khan, but a lot of you really don't know what you are looking at, I guarantee Khan would win a rematch, with a normal ref, and a few minor adjustments. After that people will give Khan too much credit for these adjustments, but the difference will be that the referee would not have decided the pattern of the fight. The one thing which this fight has highlighted though for khan is that he certainly needs to work more on his technique, and learn how to nullify pressure fighters

That first deduction was fine, the deduction in the last round was terrible. I can see why he would be pissed of after the fight.
He can say what he wants about the ref but he should have given Lamont his dues. Khan needs to sort his attitude out.
