I have said in a previous post that Peterson is a live dog, and it showed in the fight. Khan, aware that he in his opponents hometown didn't do enough, he got Peterson in trouble in various times but still he didn't capitalize, his fall was all his.........I also thought the deduction was uncalled for and the fight could go either way. Peterson did good throwing those haymaker and in the end it was a just scoring for the judges unlike in the Pac - JMM 3 fight.

I think the ref was horrible this fight. He looked lazy and out of shape and was never in proper position to break up the fighters. He ****ed up the first round for Peterson. He confused the fighters during the break and allowed them to get hit off guard. He was in the way of the first slip which it was, but the second one should not have been ruled a knockdown. In the second round he caused Khan to get hit by yelling break and not stepping in. Overall he was a piece of ****. As for the point deductions, I agree with the first one to even up the false knockdown call. The second one is debatable because in all fairness, Khan was holding the neck with his hands, constantly pulling the head down, and I saw an elbow or two. The pushing was excessive. There's a difference between muscling your way in or creating space for your punches, but he was on some elementary school yard ****. Khan had no inside game, and no defense except to foul Peterson to slow him down. For this, I gave some of the close rounds to Peterson. I am a boxing fan, I appreciate all sorts of styles, but Khan wasn't boxing, he was running and fouling like a *****. I thought the fight was on the table going into the last 2 rounds and I thought Peterson fought ******ly. Screw trying to box, just bum rush in and throw, but he kept letting Khan slip away and then he would walk into 4-5 punches. Overall I think Khan won by a round or so, but I can't dispute the outcome of the decision. Rematch, neutral ground, without that piece of **** ref.

Fight of the Year ruined by hometown ref.
If the judges had given Peterson a close decision. I can accept that. It was a close fight. But to know Khan was ahead on all the scorecards but lost because of two ridicouls pt dedcutions. No wonder Khan is p!ssed.

The judges had it 8-4, 6-6, and 6-6. The knockdown gave Khan and extra point. The judges would have given Khan a unanimous decision. The ref took 2 points on each scorecard. The judges were not bias at all in their scoring. If you want to cry foul, blame the ref not the judges. Anyway, it was a close fight. Each did some good things and each did some not-so-good things. I do agree that running for much of the fight doesn't look good to the fans.
