love marquez but trinidads resume is much better than marquez and tito was an icon in the sport of boxing.some people say that marquez is the better boxer so he is the greater fighter but by that same logic you could pretty much rank marquez above almost every fighter except floyd mayweather **** marquez is a much better boxer than barrera skillwise yet alot of people still rank barrera higher than marquez

Not at all. You haven't seen any of his earlier fights. He was actually a very good boxer who fell in love with his power. And, regardless, he was virtually unbeatable right through his whole career until he lost to Hopkins. He was mowing everyone down except Oscar, against whom he was weight drained.

Who knows what might have happened if he'd gone home to Puerto Rico to continue training, as Hopkins did, instead of staying in New York for the whole 2 weeks after 9/11 helping moving rubble and saving trapped and injured. And incidentally breathing the foul dust laden air and messing up his training .

Tito the Man, he never lost to a boxer in a caliber of a Norwood or a Chris John.

i guess tito's ownage at the hands of Hopkins could be paralled with Juan's ownage in a higher weight class at the hands of Mayweather. But JMM is greater than Tito

people with more 'power' always become 'icons' far more easily because they create far more exciting fights with more exciting knockouts. but make no mistake JMM is much greater fighter than Tito will ever be

might be more in the minority, but i still favor marquez. . . always thought tito was a bit overrated. . best wins over a way past it sweet pea, and a gift against de la hoya. . . then he beat overrated, one dimensional mayorga and vargas. . .

got tooled by hopkins. tooled by wright. . .

As great as JMM is, Tito's resume *****s all over his.
                  JMM's resume:

                  - 2 wins over Prime-Pacquiao (2nd and 3rd fights) and 1 disputable loss (1st fight)
                  - Unlucky against prime undefeated Chris John in Malaysia
                  - 2 wins over Juan Diaz
                  - Win over Barrera
                  - Wins over Gainer, Medina, Salido, Juarez.

JMM has won titles at Feather, Super-Feather and Lightweight, and got robbed at Welterweight against Pacquiao. So he's a 4 weight champ.

And he could become a 5 weight champ if he wins a title at 140.

As far as depth in their resume it's pretty even but the wins and performances against Pacquiao means that JMM is greater IMO.

Where did you get the balls to say their resumes are even?

Felix defended his welterweight belt twice the number of times Marquez defended his belt in his career. he unified the belts in two divisions, and he never gave anybody the chance of robbing cause he sparked almost evrybody he faced. While his competition might be similar, tito has had more impressive wins since he didnt struggle in his wins(cept Oscar fight).

That being said, Marquez is the better all around boxer of the two.
