He's earned, and has other options. There are other guys in his division he can be competitive and stands a good chance of winning against. He had a great run in his prime before his 1st loss. He don't need to make any more grand battles.

Cotto vs Pacquiao 2 would be a way better fight than the first one and im sure Cotto and Diaz will come up with a game plan to get the win. im sure Cotto will win this fight no doubt.. Paquiao got owned by old Marquez lol lets be serious... and first time they fought Cotto didnt have a corner or trainer he was by himself and we all know u dont win by yourself.. i think Cottos performance against Margarito sais it all.

when you land 210 punches, mostly flush, in 9 rounds, you are not running. was he moving forward all the time? no. was he running? absolutely not

are you going to tell me that he did a dirrell against margarito? it's foolish to say that a dude that lands THAT much in 9 rounds is running. heck, mosley landed 32 shots less against margarito in the same amount of time. are you going to say that mosley ran even more?

He didn't handle the speed first time because he tried to trade in close. Cotto thought he would be able to over-power Manny and that was his downfall.

He has a great jab, he has good boxing skills, he has great timing to counter...he has all the tools to win the fight, he simply used the wrong game-plan first time not to mention he was being 'trained' by Santiago and had horrible footwork, both things have been improved drastically.

This, plus if last saturday is any indication, cotto's right hand is back. He extremely needs that against manny, especially considering manny is southpaw.
