Take the eye equation out and Cotto was winning but fading. His punches had no affect tony at all. Quit act like it was a dominant performance. STAN!

Yeah I think what the TS was meaning was that it was in no way "REDEMPTION" of any kind for Cotto. I mean, Cotto won and probably would have won if it went 12 rounds but end of the day, Margarito was still walking through his punches and probably still doesn't respect him as a fighter. This is very similar to Cotto's win over the one legged ***ish fellow, he beat a fighter who's own body was working against him.

Your opinion but clearly you watched another fight because the cleaner scoring punches were landed by Cotto and Margarito wasnt going to stop Cotto with one eye. You being a fan have to give Toney credit because he wanted to continue but I clearly didnt see him stopping Cotto and he wouldnt have won a decision. Margarito is clearly a piece of **** for trying to cheat in the Mosley fight and should have been barred from fighting.

I think it's redemption. Cotto and everyone else knew that eye was going to be an issue, and Cotto said he'd punish it. Which he did. Did anybody think he was gonna KO Margarito? Cotto had a good game plan and executed.

I can respect ur post but to be honest We (Ricans) got redemption that night along with Cotto and by the way WE wanted the fight to keep going. Because it was just going to get worst for Margacheato. I'm one Rican that feels satisfaction but also believes the fight should have kept going but to think like some idiots in here that Marg was going to get Cotto in the Last 3 rds is absurd I would have love for the ref to stp the fight because that was exactly what was going to happen.

Margarito had 9 rounds to deliver some serious punishment but he failed. I don't think he would deliver any for the next 3 rounds.

Couldn't have said it any better. After the 6th rd in the first fight, Margarito had Cotto out on his feet looking battered. After 9 rds in the this fight, Cotto was still bouncing and Margarito looked like he got hit with a baseball bat.

Come on you know it was a weak stoppage, you're right Cotto was exhausted all that pressure was getting to him. And the fact that Margarito seemed happy to be in there ****ing it up was ****ing with his head. I think there would have been a little more closure if it would have kept going. Cotto's strategy of holding and trying to smother the punches helped out a lot this time around, but It looked like he was finally breaking down a little bit towards the end of the fight.

It was not a weak stoppage.. Margarito did absolutely nothing for 9 rounds so what else he has to proove??? that he can get fuc*** up for 12 rounds in the ring and manage to stay on his feet???? lets be serious... Cotto gave him the boxing lesson of the year!!!!!!!!!!!
