As bad as the referee apparently was, much more blame should go to the corner who neglected/refused to consider their fighter's well-being.

this sport needs a revamp in terms of rules to ensure the well being of its participants. Boxers are getting bigger and stronger every generation with no end in sight.

The thing is like a doctor said about Mcclellan vs Benn ... "The problem is there are 2 guys punching each other in the face" ... these are terrible accidents and we can only hope they'll never happen again, but boxing is a violent sport which involves several risks including death.

I wonder how many of these tragic incidents are due to fighters making weight. You seldom hear of these occurences happening in the heavyweight division.

SA is 1 country that shouldn't have boxing...evident when they come to US/Mex and skills are lacking...ref needs to be suspended 4 life after this 1...
