Molina is a solid boxer, he has that jittery style that can really throw a fighters timing off. And we all know Kirkland can be wreckless, but I saw a new Kirkland in the Angulo fight, an even better Kirkland then before he did his bid. His jab has improved, his timing and even his D to an extent. Expect Kirkland to put pressure INTELLIGENTLY, as he did in the middle rounds against Perro, keeping it in the middle of the ring, shooting the jab, and using the counter left. Kirkland really has an underrated jab, he broke Angulo down mentally, physically and emotionally with it. Look for Molina to have a solid start in the first 2-3 rds. Then look for Kirkland to start to find his timing and range with the jab, and get off combinations, Molina hangs tough but ultimately gets brutally taken out in 8 or 9.

Molina is an underrated guy, BUT he is way too small to be fighting these big guys. Almost feel bad for the guy. He looked like a chubbier Juan Diaz against Cintron.

Molina needs to be very active when they start clinching, start mugging Kirkland and touch him up while theyre grappling....it drains stamina fast.

In the meantime, Molina needs to continually backpeddle and time the right hand so that Kirkland runs into it, much like Hopkins likes to do. Even with good stamina and conditioning, Kirkland still runs into punches, which means that even light punchers can still hurt him is they hit him clean.

Back up, time the right hand, start grappling, smack him around at that range and on the break. The Hopkins treatment.

        go and get em Molina!
if kirkland got droped by the hardest hitter in the jr middle weight division and got up I doubt any one any time soon will ko him especially molina. Molina if just a hard worker but has no power

            Ha!

I was gonna type the same exact thing. Molina is good but this as a whole is a difficult task, I would have liked Molina vs. Rodriguez more but I ain't complaining.

I think it will be an interesting fight, but I agree with you. Kirkland has terrible defense, is hurt and wobbled often, and we've never seen him go 12 with somebody who can actually fight back. He got rocked by a nobody in the fight before Ishida, he got finished in 1 round by Ishida, and was on his way to getting finished in 1 round against Angulo, but Angulo fought like an amateur.
Molina is sturdy and a more skilled fighter. If he can't knock James out early, I expect him to work him over in the late rounds.

I'll tell you this much. Molina will last more rounds than Angulo did. I give him a good chance on winning. Monlina has good boxing skills and possesses great defense for a pressure fighter something Angulo lacked. Angulo's chin was his defense and Kirkland popped his cherry by Knocking him down in the first round.

50/50...can't really count Molina out. Can't judge a fighter by his last performance.

This is defnitely a closer fight than people think. Kirkland will give Molina his opportunities to catch him.. But if Molina doesnt get Kirklands respect by buzzing him or hitting him hard, it could be a bloody mess for Molina
