    Tszyu vs Cotto @ 140

Probably been asked before, but I'm curious... Who would u guys pick?

I've never seen a Tszyu fight, so I have absolutely no clue... I've just seen a few comments that make me really feel like I'm missing out... Someone on Youtube said he ranks Tszyu's ability and skill right up there with Duran, Hagler, Leonard, and Hearns...

Saying that about anybody makes me cringe, but he didn't seem to be alone in that opinion...

What do u guys that have actually seen Tszyu fight have to say about putting him in there with Cotto...

Extra credit if u tell me how this fight would play out at 147 too

I think I would probably favor Tszyu because of two factors:

      1. Tszyu was very experienced, a proven champion at 140 while Cotto was more of an up and coming titleholder.

      2. Cotto outgrew 140 quickly and making the weight was a struggle. Watch Cotto vs. Corley to see what I mean.

At 147, I would definitely pick Cotto to win.

If it's the same version that Hatton beat, yeah I'd take Cotto.

The version of Cotto was a weight drained mess who got stunned by a Malignaggi right hand.

At 140, it's hard to tell, but I see Cotto being somewhat aggressive, not like Hatton though, and he might get countered by Tszyu's straight right. That was his money punch. I don't know if Cotto would get stopped from just one punch but it was plausible.

At 147, I see Cotto too strong for Tszyu, plus that fight might have taken place around 2006 had Tszyu remained active. By 2005, Tszyu was already slowing down considerably while Cotto was reaching his absolute prime. I think Cotto stops him fairly easily at 147 in a fight that would look like Cotto-Quintana. I could be wrong though.

Did Kosta ever fight at 147? Not to my knowledge he never but I could be wrong.

At 140 & no disrespect to Cotto but I believe Kosta don't have too much hassle with him & blasts him out within 5-6.

Why would you pick the aging, inactive version for a fantasy match up?

Anyhow, Cotto was still green at 140, had a bit of trouble making weight towards the end and his chin seemed worse than at 147 and 154. I'd expect Kostya to put him to sleep at some point.
