People said Arreola doesn't deserve the shot, but who are they to say things about a man who every time he gets in the ring he fights with his heart.

I feel like this is a special occasion. It's a short notice fight. A lot of guys said they would take it, but used the short notice as an excuse. It takes a lot to put together a fight. But when you can get someone who can make the best of this and put on a great show, it's a job well done.

New WADA guidelines clear Povetkin

WADA has just issued a new Meldonium report, that appears to back heavyweight Alexander Povetkin’s claim that he didn’t take Meldonium after the substance was banned on January 1.

Povetkin’s test revealed 0.07 micrograms of Meldonium in April, under the 1 µg /mL amount permitted between March 1 and September 30 under the updated guidelines.

The Povetkin-Wilder fight was supposed to take place on May 21 at the Khodynka Ice Palace in Moscow.

But it was postponed after one of the samples showed traces of Meldonium in extremely low concentrations.
