i got 3 of his fights. still don't know what to think of him. if i am correct he doesn't have much amateur experience. hastings rasani isn't much of a test with 60 losses or whatever he has & he beat the guy matt skelton is fighting next. i will follow him now but need to see him fight more. mcdermott is a good test at this point. could even be a little much right now.

Chris Byrd says Lennox Lewis avoided him.

lennox vacated his title but the reason he didn't fight him is there was no money in it. lennox was looking for paydays & already unified so everyone knew who the man was. nobody wanted to fight byrd because he was tricky, fast & too big a risk for too little reward. he beat some good heavyweights but couldn't put fans in the seats. i remember him defending vs golota. this was the start of byrd & don king's issues. byrd was upset he was getting a fraction of what golota was getting & he was the champion. i can't recall the purses but i believe golota was getting like 3 or 4 million & byrd like $500000. don king said to byrd" how many of these 15000 polish fans are here to see you?" byrd's biggest payday came against his rematch with wladimir when he got like 2 million. merchant talked about the purse & i believe that was the sum. boxing is a business & if you don't put butts in the seats you could get left behind or you will have to take the long route to the title. gain rankings with trinkets then win your eliminators & force the hands of the organization. chris byrd had to take this route. lennox never ducked anyone. he beat everyone he fought & never took the easy route in his voluntaries. his toughest fight he ever had he said was vs that croatian european champion. i remember max kellerman talking to him about it. lennox said he hit him with everything & he couldn't believe he was still standing because the guy was actually a natural light heavyweight. lennox said he trained for 3 years for our fight & max replied " how long was your training camp champ?" lennox smiled & didn't have a response but we all know the answer to that one.

How this guy won an olympic gold, which I think is a much more difficult accomplishment than winning a professional world title, is beyond me.

We haven't learned anything new about Price from that fight.

HE should do what Fury is doing - try to come to USA and fight, build his name up, and build a fight with Fury up.

That was an entirely expected sort of performance.

I picked Price to win by first round KO.

Price's power is pretty serious, and I was quite sure that Harrison wouldn't be able to stand up to it at this phase.

Maybe the fact that Harrison turned pro at like 35 has something to do with it. He must have started boxing late, but he was post-prime probably by the time he had his first pro fight.

One of the many reasons I believe Mr Lewis is the greatest of all time.

welliver lost his WBC continental americas title to sherman williams so i wonder why williams isn't ranked ahead of fujimoto. welliver was in top 10 WBC rankings for a long stretch so i maybe that's why. i want sherman williams to fight someone higher ranked.

check that...welliver only lost his 2 WBO regional titles in the fight vs williams. so he must still hold the WBC continental americas title. the WBC belt wasn't on the line.

Yes, I knew that fight was for a ranking. In fact, they play on the train here in Japan that Kyotaro is now world ranked.

I don't really agree with it, but the heavyweights are so weak that he is in fact not even that far out. At my most kind, I wouldn't rank him any higher than 25-30, but nevertheless he does have potential to maybe even crack the top ten.

I would say he's maybe about 38. He only has 6 fights, and Welliver is no one (but it was an impressive 6th opponent, and Kyotaro had a good career in kickboxing).
