For years I never undertsood why people thought that Cotto and Margarito were that good that Mayweather had to duck them? Them dudes were hyped up like most Top Rank fighters.

Margarito at one point in his career would have given floyd a serious challenge. that point has long gone though.

as for cotto, it would be an intriguing match-up, either at 147 or 154. i wouldn't say that cotto has a bigger chance of winning, in fact i'd give floyd the upper hand, but that it would still be an intriguing match at least.

Im a big Pac fan and cant stand Floyd, but i believe Floyd wins every round. Pac only has a punchers chance.
I just cant see how Pac can win.

After watching the Kahn Peterson fight , I am concerned about the Pac fight, that is if Pac doesn't KO Mayweather.

I like Peterson and wouldn't take his titles from him but Kahn won that fight.

Who in their right minds besides Manny Pacquiao fans (Not all) believe that Pac will KO Floyd? I believe Roach saying Floyd is a tough fight and possibly will get Pac out of there before the 12th, before I believe he will KO Mayweather because NO ONE has done it AND Mayweather is a difficult fight for ANYONE. This is common sense and logic but you don't deal with that. Floyd should man up and show confidence? Tell Pac to stop hiding behind Bob Arum and tell Bob that the cut will be healed before May 5th and the fight can happen. Also tell Pac to tell Bob Arum not to make a 4th Juan Manuel Marquez fight because all that is going to do is hurt his career worst because technically Pac can't beat JMM. lmao at you still clinging to the mayweather used testing to duck the fight excuse. how the *** is he gonna try to duck a fight by asking for testing that pac could have easily just accepted like the majority of fighters would? if pac would have accepted then what? your whole argument is based on pac refusing to test...which didn't come til after mayweather asked for the testing. to suggest mayweather was so confident that pac was gonna refuse that he could use it as a sure fire way out of the fight is absurd...really.

I don't know fam. Margarito could have possibly cheated back then and on top of that as soon as he fought someone that was good enough (Paul Williams) he lost. Not to mention having trouble with Daniel Santos at 147 and 154. Oscar at 154 was a more dangerous fight than Margarito at 147.

Miguel Cotto? I think the only thing that sold people on Cotto is that he was entertaining when he fought but he also took alot of unnesscary punishment and almost got put out on several occassions by guys not even close to Mayweather's skill set. Cotto was open for the big shots all day and could not adjust technically to win. Cotto also would get discouraged when his punch wasn't effective or if he was pressured. Honestly, I feel Cotto would have been KO'd if he fought Mayweather. I wanted to see the fight too when they were both undefeated but lets be real.

Arum didn't want Mayweather to fight Cotto at 140 so how could he have ducked a fighter that wasn't ready for him at his original weight class where he was a title holder, while Floyd just moved up from 135 to 140? Lets keep it real. Cotto got hurt by Zab and was back peddling from Mosley. Wasn't like he completely shut them guys out and Floyd was and always has been technically better then them two. Inorder to beat Mayweather you have to outhink him. People say a jab but even that didn't work in the De La Hoya fight. He didn't stop throwing it. Oscar paid everytime he did. Can't believe people think Oscar won that fight. His face didn't look like a face of a winner. Juan Manuel Marquez did though.
