Robertson, you may have been one of these "wise sage" fans that "always knew it was going to be tough", but be honest, Roach thought it would easier and so did most of Pacquiao's fans. They believed Manny had improved to a degree where yet another life and death struggle wouldn't be likely. That, coupled with Marquez being a bit long in the tooth and having had plenty of hard fights.

Despite all this, Manny was indeed able to "counter the counters" at times which probably saved his bacon. Mayweather is so much better at countering and leaving NO CHANCE of being countered back. Manny is so prone to lunging forward while punching, he is too open and off balance to avoid a crisp counter and relies on immediate reply. This will be futile against Mayweather, who likely just won't be there after landing.

That's the biggest puzzle. You don't ask for ****** tests if you think it's an easy fight. It's ******. Asking for ****** tests means you don't really mean it when you say it's an easy fight.

i would love to think you're right, in fact, your assessment of this match-up was very good. im just wondering why until now floyd doesn't see this as an easy fight as you fans are seeing it? why ask for ridiculous testing? isn't it possible that he sees something in pacquiao that he figured he might lose his zero?

Yeah, I say screw the testing and make the fight happen and I always had that attitude but if Floyd wanted him to give blood then what was the reason for not doing it? $h!t was pure and utter nonsense for Pac to not take the fight because of that but people still say Floyd was outrageous for asking for the tests when Shane and Ortiz already took them. Khan, Cotto, Martinez and others said they would. Fight could have been done homie. Sure Floyd could have done it without the tests but Pac could have done it with the test and if Pac really wanted it then he would have done it with the tests considering his stance now is that the tests are not a problem. Why were they back then? Anyway we living in the now and Floyd set May 5th aside for the fight and Roger, Koncz and others are saying there are talks but Arum comes out and says "PAc cut has to heal from the Marquez fight"...... I honestly think if team mayweather didnt go around down talking pac before any negotiation started im pretty sure pac wouldnt have a problem with taking ost. also if floyd didnt change his mind from 14 days to zero im sure the fight would have been made. im not saying floyd should drop the ost but if pac is easy work i dont see why there should be extra testing? if floyd think pac accomplished things that he has never seen before then why wont he just come out and say it? why keep saying pac is easy work but yet he wont get in there unless pac agree to ost? to me all this is ego, who's going to bow down to who.

Im not one of those, i just knew Marquez had his number, and would, and did, cause him problems.

You may be right, and most people these days are having Mayweather dominate Pac, fair enough, but having watched both fighters for many years now, it will be alot closer than people think.

Plus, can you imagine the size of Mayweathers head if he wins? Jeez.

The reason I'm thinking why Mayweather wanted the tests was because he probably heard homie was on steroids within the boxing circles or convo none of us know about OR he was fooled like so many MILLIONS of people by Pac beating up on bigger guys but not realizing that them guys were completely shot or catchweight demanded. I honestly think (and this my opinion) that Floyd got bamboozled into thinking Pac was too small to be moving up beating dudes like that and had to be juiced up but in actuality Pac's fights were set up to make him look powerful and super fast but his opponents were sacrifices. In the same breath if you are going to ask why on Mayweather then you should ask why Pac didn't want to take the tests? should have been simple to not demand them and simple to take them.

JR's style isn't exactly like he is a clone to JMM and that means Pac will fight him differently than he did JMM.

JR has NOT fought anyone with elite status in their prime in the last ten years maybe longer,,,name the person. I like ORTIZ but you can't say ORTIZ,,,all you *****s said he was a quitter, and you were right he did quit although he got some things straightened out there in the heart department.

I posted that before I read the one you posted and explained your thoughts. Lets keep it all the way real homie. Floyd made Shane agree and take the tests (a known steroid user) and the fight happened in 10. The same Mosley that Pac wouldn't fight withput a test until Shane looked done. Ortiz took the tests as well to fight Floyd. Doubt that Floyd is scared of Pac and that's why he asked for the tests. I just think that he believes that Pac is on steroids and just wants to know if he is clean. Pac got all in his feelings and sued AFTER the first negotiations fell through. Not before.
