Apparently, Floyd the boxer himself doesn't agree with you. Otherwise, he would not have dumped roadblocks never seen in the history of the sport into the fight. Fighting for the love of the sport, the fans, and for the glory of beating the Pacman is enough for a boxer to get motivated especially when you think the opponent is easy to beat. The money doesn't even need to be mentioned. It's definitely there for the taking.

So I'd rather believe the boxer who will fight the Pacman than fans. Let me know when Floyd stops making excuses not to go for this fight.

I agree with that! Roach and the rest of Team Pacquiao are not ******, i just cant see Pacquiao getting in there with no idea of how to at least try and take out Floyd. I believe Mannys power will be the key factor, if Manny lands a hard flush left to Floyds chin, and he buckles, Floyds confidence could go AWOL. I dont like making comparisons but Sugar Shane stated himself he had not felt power like Mannys. MP landed a left to Shane, which did not look like much of a power shot, and Shane was visibly hurt, i watched an interview with him and he was saying that he had no idea what round it was after taking that shot, and when he asked Nazeem, and Nazeem said round 6, he couldn't remember the last 2 rounds. WTF!

On paper Floyd wins, but one shot and the whole fight changes, and thats from either fighter.

Besides all I hear manny say is I have to talk to my promoter, ill fight with whoever bob says. If he had some balls he woldbe told Arum no, I do not want to fight mosley, clottey, margarito, marquez. I want floyd and if you cant make it happen then ill go with GBP.
Nonsensical response. Easy fight, easy money, according to Floyd and fans. But where the **** is he? Does Roach even have to call him out if Floyd and fans think it's an easy fight?

Premise A: Roach calls out Mayweather even though he knew it's a difficult fight for his guy.

Premise B: Floyd and fans think it's an easy fight, easy money. Where tf is he?

***** logic: Hmmm...... I don't even know how to put it.

That's what happens when Team Pac's stipulations and demand's back fire and shoot them in their asses. They were totally caught off guard by Juan Manuel Marquez because of how they thought he looked at 144 against Floyd. They should have not tried to measure Pacquiao to Mayweather because it has been clear as crystal that Manny is not on Floyd's level. Pac was better off fighting Mayweather the first time, instead of having Arum hype him up because now all the hype aurrounding Manny Pacquiao is gone. Arum had Pac fight all these bigger guys to make him look like he moved up dominating but gets beat up by a 38 year old smaller guy.

Robertson, it's ironic that you mention Mosley in your post as a common factor. Mosley hit Maywearther with not one, but TWO of his best shots in one round. Mayweather buckled, but his confidence far from disappeared. In fact, he was beating Mosley back by the end of that same said round. I would wager that Mosley hits at least as hard as Manny does (One KO'd Marg, the other didn't, remember). I agree with your sentiment that one punch, especially from Pacquiao, could change the complexion of the fight.

Here's the thing. Roach, I think, seriously had his eyes opened to the fact that regardless of how much work he's done with Pacquiao, movement still troubles him as much as it ever did since his second fight with Marquez. He can still win fights, but doesn't look nearly as convincing doing it. Pacquiao is prone to frustration when hunting a moving target and Roach under no illusion with how close Manny came to losing against Marquez. Mayweather may well be different to Marquez, but the things that Marquez did to give Manny fits (use lateral movement and pop out lead right hand counters), Mayweather does better.

This isn't about "who's fault it is the fight hasn't happened" or "who's the coward (I would never use that word for anyone who steps between those ropes for a living because I wouldn't)". It's Roach sizing up and opponent for his charge, one he's known for years and knows better than any of us. He knew Oscar couldn't pull the trigger anymore, he knew that Mosely was too much about the time he sparked Marg and he knows Mayweather is a stylistic nightmare for Pacquiao (not that Mayweather definitely wins, for all those sensitive types out there). Pacquiao is an exceptional fighter, but "box, move and counter" is like Green K to him.

I wish people would stop taking this all so personally. Be a boxing fan first.

For manny its a pretty difficult fight. Floyd will probably tweak the marquez strategy. He will circle left but unlike marquez theres a question mark on where Floyd will use the counter right hand. Marquez many time dove into the right hook to take the steam out of it and land his flush counter right hand. Floyd wont risk getting hit like marquez which is why I think manny has to set Floyd up but where, is the question. At what part of a Manny pacquiao combo is Mayweather most likely to strike?

Give it up man. Freddie Roach just confirmed what fans of Floyd Mayweather Jr have been saying for years. Pac can't beat Floyd. At his best Roach is giving Pac making it to the end. But you Pac guys continue to make up, change words and meanings up to feel better.
