Round 3:
Louis vs. Tyson.....Tyson by KO in 6.
Louis had no problem trading with ANYONE, which would be his downfall against Tyson. Tysonw as argubaly one of the biggest punchers in boxing history, but Tyson mainly had trouble with guys that boxed from the outside....something Joe didn't do.
Foreman vs. Holmes.....Foreman by a close SD.
Foreman would come forward all night, with Larry boxing from the outside. I don't see Holmes trying to do anything on the inside, and would probably hit the canvas once in the fight, but he would seem to out-box Geroge throughout some rounds. Close fight, the knockdown of Holmes, winning a close Split-Decision for Foreman.
Ali vs. Lewis.....Ali by a close UD.
I really think of all the heavyweights, Lennox would have given a prime Ali (1964-1967) the most trouble. It would be a battle of jabs like another poster said, with Ali's superior speed playing a big factor. Ali would be able to take Lennox's power shots as well, having a great chin. Ali wins a close by UD.
Johnson vs. Dempsey.....Johnson by a close MD.
Johnsonw as one fo the most skilled fighters on his era, where as Dempsey just kept coming. It would be a great style matchup, but the crafty Johnson prevails bny a close decision. Dempsey would rough Jack up some rounds, winning rounds on his punch out put alone, but not enough to beat Johnson.
Most anticipated fight for RD 3: Ali-Lewis or Foreman-Holmes.
Most action packed fight for RD 3: Louis-Tyson.
Round 4:
Foreman vs. Tyson.....Foreman by KO in 7.
Can you imagine a prime George Foreman in the 70's against a prime Tyson of the 80's??? What a showdown. Something would have to give, and I think Tyson would give to big Geroge. George had a much bigger frame than Mike, and I just think he'd win the slugfest, but this would be an ATG great, something for the ages.
Ali vs. Johnson.....Ali by UD.
Another sort of chess matchup for Ali, where I just see his superiority in speed, something he was superior to everyone, taking over the fight. Johnsonw as a good puncher, not great like Louis-Tyson-Foreman-Liston, and Ali would have to make sure not to get caught like he did against Cooper in 63', but I just see Ali out-boxing Johnson, another boxer.
Most anticipated fight and action packed fight for RD 4: Foreman-Tyson.
Round 5 Championship:
Ali vs. Foreman.....Ali by UD.
They already fought once when George was in his prime, but Ali was 32, past his prime-still good. Ali in his prime would dance all day, and George would have a much tougher time cutting off the ring, and Ali would NOT lay on the ropes and rope-a-dope Foreman. Foreman may catch Ali with a couple big shots, but for the majority of the fight, I see Ali out maneuvering Geroge for most rounds.
I have Muhammad Ali, in his prime, beating any heavyweight. I think Lennox Lewis, Jack Johnson, Evander Holyfield would have given a prime Ali the most trouble.
