I like Canelo too. the problem is I knew this was going to happen. I knew when they gave him that bogus vacant belt for fighting Matthew Hatton, he still wasn't ready for elite fighters yet so there would be a lot of backlash against him and sure enough there is. That's why I wished he would have just turned down the belt or whatever. If you're not ready to fight the top dogs you shouldn't be considered champion.

Of course, none of this is Canelo's fault. He's a young kid who seems to be improving like he should and he's just doing what his promoters tell him to do. But it's shameful how the WBC can get away with a lot of the stuff they do, same exact story for Chavez jr.

I agree with u bro. I think he's ready for some of the top dogs but GB doesn't wanna take the chance of him losing imo. Its gonna **** up his buzz cuz pretty soon people gonna get sick and tired of seeing him fight bums when a guy like Kirkland is the #1 contender. Plus he's a fellow GB fighter so it would be easy for them to make this fight happen. Lampley ****ted on Canelo, well the WBC after Kirkland beat flames outta Angulo and I thought that would make GB step up to the plate and make the fight. I thought wrong. Kirkland is a decent fighter but got ass ****d by Canelo's Sparring partner Ishida Kirkland is one of the dumbest fighters @ 154 he has a weak chin he doesn't have head movement and basically relies on his power to get wins he beat anuglo mostly due to anuglo's gassing and even then it took him a while to get the TKO i don't see how canelo is ducking him...

Canelo is the WBC champ, though. That's the problem with fighting lesser opponent. It screws up everything. The WBC looks like **** and corrupt. The guys who deserve a shot don't get it and instead you get guys like Alfonzo Gomez getting a crack at the title. It's just a huge mess.
