you do know the middleweight division is filled with weak ass resumes, right? i mean, Sturm is pretty much the universal #2.....and he has a contoversial SD and a draw against his only decent opponents in the last few years....and he was supposed to win....

go on, tell me 10 fighters with a better resume than Chavez

also, dont act like zbik wasnt pissing blood after the fight... and like i said earlier, that was the first time chavez had world class conditioning, he fought the early rounds like a guy who thinks he has to pace himself....by the middle rounds, he noticed what he had in the tank and thats why he pulled it out

if chavez jr wanted a belt he should have challenged pirog or martinez. if hbo was really an impartial mediator they would have set up those fights and refused all other chavez jr bum fights but they are run by the promoters so that's why they approve bum fights over and over. hbo enabled chavez jr and now he's a fake star. they will never ever fight anyone with a pulse as long as the promoters have their hooks into the networks. just a shadow sport pretending to be legit.

are the hardcore chavez jr fans just trolling or do people actually root for and like chavez jr and think he's the future of boxing? a lot of time, sarcasm doesn't translate well online.

i'm pretty sure its trolling and sarcasm. no one really thinks he's good but then again if he goes undefeated against cans for the next ten years we got another mayweather(post castillo).

only one trolling is people who think he's not a top fighter at middleweight because A. they just don't like the kid B. they think he's a hype job.

no one is here saying chavez is great or even good.

but aside from sturm and martinez everyone at 160 has a crap resume.

think of all the guys you think has a better resume and go over it.

              you'd be surprise.

there's like 3-4 guys whose ONLY name win is the same guy. sylvester.

zbik and manfredo pretty much tops everyone else's resume outside of sturm and martinez.

Is Martinez and everyone else...Martinez is #1 and then you can rank the rest how to your own personal preference.

If it is just mw he is easily top 5...I'm not a believer in him yet but I will give him top 5...if we include JMW and SMW there are oodles of guys who would destroy him.
