Best matchup, by that you mean competitiveness, then it's Martinez vs Lara. If you're talking on paper, Cotto is the "#1 Junior Middleweight" according to The Ring. So yeah, on paper, the #1 JMW vs the #1[Real #1, The Ring Champion] MW, is the best matchup to make between a JMW and a MW. But Lara vs Martinez, I believe that fight would go all 12 rounds with a lot of close rounds.

Cotto would get stopped by Martinez, and I believe Lara beats Cotto.

Neither of these fights will happen though, Lara vs Cotto, Martinez vs Chavez, Martinez vs Cotto...it'll be Top Rank vs Top Rank like always. And if it's not Top Rank vs Top Rank, it's cause they found some other stiff to fight.

Cotto absolutely destroys Chavez Jr though. But he'll get hit, it's Cotto we're talking about, he gets hit against anybody. Difference is, he'll get hit and it won't hurt him, cause Chavez Jr does not hit as hard as he should at the top level, or at least not hard enough to hurt Cotto. I'd like for Cotto to lose that fight, but he just won't, Chavez Jr is a popular stiff. Cotto is not a stiff, he's an okay fighter.

Lol, if Arum really wants this fight, he should have a weigh in the day of to stop Chavez from weighing 20+ pounds over Cotto

Last time Arum was able to keep Cotto around with promise of the Pac fight.. wonder if Arum will try to pull the same thing again.
