Cotto vs. Chavez Jr will be made, because it's an in-house fight

And Sergio Martinez vs. Chavez Jr won't be made because Sergio isn't with Top Rank.

That's the bottom line, no matter how much Bob Arum wants to claim that it's because DiBella has done a bad job of promoting Martinez and that he doesn't bring money to the table.

Why do you think it won't? Chavez Jr certainly isn't going to fight Sergio. And there is no better risk vs. reward fight for Cotto than this one.

Because the risk of JCC losing is ver very high for JCC

Cotto-JCC Jr is a better match-up then what Martinez-JCC Jr would be anyways....So I don't have any problem with that.

But, I think Cotto-Pac II might be more likely than Cotto-JCC Jr....Unless Cotto and his team are damn near positive that they can beat JCC Jr

the best matchup that can be made betw 154-160 is cotto vs. martinez.

Meh...Maybe at 154....Maybe I think that's pushing it though. Anything higher than 154 is really mismatch...It sucks that Martinez is in this situation.

I doubt this fight gets made. The weight issues will be too much. Chavez Jr. is too big for Cotto and Cotto's team will demand a same day weigh in of no more than 167 or some **** like that which Chavez's team will refuse.

No way Cotto can beat Chavez Jr. when he's going to be weighting 161 on fight night and Chavez will be around 180.

Also Chavez may be stripped of his title which is the only reason Cotto would take this fight.

I think Cotto could beat JCC Jr...Without same day weigh-in....JCC Jr is whack...He just has size, he doesn't really have the skill, talent, or IQ that should bother Cotto. Unless Cotto is shot to pieces he has a chance against JCC Jr...No chance against Martinez though.

Seriously? Last time I saw someone gain that much overnight was Daniel Santos against Yuri Foreman and he got smoked.

Even if this fight gets made, it's not like Cotto is going to stay at MW and defend.
