To be fair I think the thread name was meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

I think Martin likes Mayweather, anyway, he just likes Hatton more. He can correct me if I'm wrong.

I do like Mayweather... I think he's an awesome boxer! And that's why I wanna see him in the ring with Ricky Boy.

You have to fight the best to be the best... And IMO these two guys are right at the top of the pile... (running parallel to each other).

Makes sense to see them square it off!

You know, I used to take Martin and others a bit too seriously myself and get mad when they posted these sorts of threads, so I know what you mean. Maybe it's because you can't tell when someone on the Internet is being sarcastic, or maybe we just can't understand British humour on this side of the ocean.

The thing is once you realize these guys are just having a bit of fun there's no reason to keep on fighting.

Yeah, I remember me and you having a girlie *****-slapping competition back in the day when I'd posted some half-joking **** or other, Bomb. I think it was something like "why the **** do people post about boxers when they know **** all about them?" or some other gentle, inoffensive thread like that, wasn't it?

While it does have a kind of point (I hate to read anyone trash a fighter as a "bum" when they're just a boxrec spectator and haven't even SEEN the guy fight - or the poster who claimed that Clinton Woods hasn't improved because "I haven't seen him fight for three years, but he's just a generic fighter so I know he won't have") I was only half-serious.

But then I just thought "Ah, Bombardier's a Cannuck anyway. He's probably so bored interfering with mooses he just wants to have a go."

The Gatti win is Mayweathers claim to fame, maybe its not his best win but its th reason non boxing fans know him.

Corrales was dead at the weight and Castillo beat Mayweather in the first fight, everyone knows the truth. Mayweather beat Castillo in the 2nd fight thought.

FYI, it's not "mooses", it's "moose", the plural being the same as the singular. For crying out loud, you people invented the language (sarcasm here, in case it wasn't clear)

And as far as I can remember we've only had four or five incidents here where a moose ran through town (not sarcasm here, I'm afraid )

Who knows why I would take those threads of yours so seriously...I guess I get pretty disgruntled when I'm here at work, but now I have a plan to get out of here so I'm a lot mellower. And like you said you still have good points to make, wrapped inside all that banter.
