not at all. Everyone in the garden was shouting for the fight to continue, catching him good?? o really based on what? He was never bothered by those punches and tony had his best rounds in the middle of the fight. People need to forget about that 1st fight for a sec. This is a new day and it showed.

I can't help but to laugh my way thru these pages of dowright ****** and idiotic posts. Cotto is a 100 times the fighter Chavez is or will ever be, he is way more skilled and talented.

If I was to place a bet, I'd actually bet on Cotto not only winning every round comfortably but by TKO. No doubt about it.

If you aren't signing long term to Arum, he sees no reason not to buff up one of his name young studs at your expense. Just say no and shoot for someone like Pacquaio.
Zbik ***ed his face up.... imagine what Cotto can do

Suppose he wins and is still a free agent type? So he has even more options and can really go wherever the money is best and Arum is left with Chavez who now has to start back up fighting cab drivers in Mexico.

Arum only operates in manners that benefits him, so unless Cotto is under a multi-contract deal, this doesn't benefit Arum.

What would Arum really have to offer Cotto after a Chavez Jr fight? Pacquaio and probably Margarito. So Cotto shops for a Canelo, Martinez, Mayweather or whoever is the highest bidder.

If Chavez wins, he can let Cotto go since he won't be viable any more for any big time fights and Chavez will really have bargaining power over someone like Canelo or really anyone else.

Cotto might be loyal, but Arum certainly is not. Its either Pacquaio or jump ship to someone else, unless the guarantee money for the Chavez fight is bananas.
You're thinking of it as if Chavez is long term. He really isn't. Arum already said he's not a very good fighter. His own promoter said that! Here is what Bob said about Chavez & Canelo:
"Neither guy looks to me to be a great fighter and either guy could lose on the way there. Gamboa and Lopez were elite, great fighters. If (a loss) happened there, it could certainly happen with Canelo and Chavez, who are not elite fighters."

As far as Cotto's contract, I think bob knows Cotto is loyal and he wont be jumping ship as long as Bob can get him attractive fights. I think Arum mentioned the other day that Hagler never had a contract with him, so it's not completely out of the norm for him to conduct business that way.

Now, if Chavez beats Cotto, I'm sure Arum wouldn't sweat it as I like I said Chavez would certainly rise in stock.

Cotto will look like a tank at 160, I think he knocks Chavez out.

I completely disagree, although jnr looked much better last time out.

He is definitely coming on, as would be expected from someone who started so late yet has access to the best trainers/equipment.

At a catchweight of 156 and a fight night limit of 170. That is the only way to go if Chavez wants the fight.

Cotto beats Chavez up. Arum wins either way but he would rather sacrifice Chavez to Cotto as opposed to Martinez.

Jr knocking cotto out does nothing for his career , he will be criticized mercilessly for beating up a washed up bum whos really at best a 147lber.I like cotto he was one of my favorite fighters before he lost to margs but please this fight is just in house bs absurd.I guess jr wants it because it will be easy money.
