You can't downplay a 15-20 pound difference in a boxing fight. That is a alot of difference in weight. When you don't lose any speed or stamina, that is a big advantage.

Still, I think Cotto has got the better boxing skills. I wouldn't completely rule out a Cotto win, but with the weight factor, I would have to favor Chavez in a decision.

But here's the thing, who would you favor in a fight between Martinez and Chavez. Martinez would be easily give away 15 pounds to Chavez. In this case, I'd have to favor Martinez because he is more of a boxer than Cotto is, but, I don't think Martinez can win a decision against Chavez, so, it would have to be by KO>
Yup, no denying Cotto's the more seasoned an skillful boxer, but when it comes to that weight and not only that once you factor in the difference and height(MAJOR), man IDK, thats a whole lot. People don't realize how much energy it takes to hurt someone that much bigger than you ala Margarito who smaller then Chavez, its no joke. Best bet would be for Cotto to just keep attacking with his patented body shots that he's seemed to have sold or put back in a lock box somewhere lol...

As for Martinez/Chavez I'd have to go Martinez unless he gets old overnight which is absolutely possible at 36. But for one, IDK why but although he wont admit it, I think Chavez is already a bit weary about facing Martinez as it is now, so thats not good to go in a fight unsure or with a sense of fear of being knocked out for the 1st time, it will have him fighting scared, u know? Chavez is a young guy as it is already, i just don't think hes ready yet and he knows it. Its different with Cotto who's already a lot smaller than Chavez. But the way Sergio recently handled a (surprisingly) very skillful undefeated boxer in Barker who's 6' like Chavez idk just think Sergio is a little to seasoned for Jr at this point see Cotto doesn't capitalize on mistakes quite the way Sergio does because Sergio usually hits u with a punch u won't see coming, unlike Cotto...

“I was supporting Tony due to the fact that he’s a Mexican boxer, but at the same time I didn’t want to face him because I’m Mexican too

        Translation: Hes scared of Margarito.

The WBC will make sure they will sidestep Martinez at all costs.

Jr continues to be a joke
Is the same thing Martinez is trying to do

Trying to get fights with Pacquiao, Mayweather and Cotto

Chavez will kill Cotto. I think he would beat Martinez, too.
Cotto is a shot fighter. Margarito was going to take him out in the last
                  two rounds.
