Lacy backs up his ego by knocking people out! And i don't think a fighter who challenges for a title as early in his career as he did can be deemed a coward. Its calzaghe who usually wraps his injured hand in chicken feathers!

Ego? The biggest ego is Roy Jones Jr. hands down.

For ****s sake, the man refers to himself in the 3rd person. What an arrogant twat.

      P4P Whitaker >> Jones Jr.

Eubank and Jones Jr probably bigger ego's than Hamed because Hamed I believe tried his best to make it come across as if he had a big ego, whereas with Eubank and Jones Jr it came naturally.

Eubank would say something like 'Im sure he is honoured to share a ring with yours truly' (referring to himself as 'yours truly' all the time)

Jones Jr would say something like 'Aint nobody gonna beat Roy tonight' (referring to himself in the third person all the time)

i have to agree with most names mentioned here.

james toney has an unbelievable ego. if he thinks he's the baddest man in the world, why even bother with ruiz? he priced himself out of a fight with vitali. never mentioned offering brewster a deal(as far as i know of), and never offered wk a deal. seems like he thinks he the baddest man on the planet, go fight some kickboxing or mma guys.

roy jones, well, we all know about his ego. even rjj fans accept that he has a major ego problem, although he did seem to be a bit humbled by losing to tarver again.

lennox lewis had/has a definite ego problem as well.

mayweather also, but at least i've heard him say positive things about other fighters before.

now, going back in the days, muhammad ali, john l sullivan, and tyson all had big egos.

it kinda kills me to root for fighters with big egos.

and i don't think tarver has a huge ego prob, i think he feels he deserves more credit than he gets. might be wrong here though. never met the guy.

if u see that hilarious satellite linkup between Benn, Eubank and Toney in 93 its Toney doing all the trashtalking and Eubank trying to act civilised, Toney is saying **** about their "momma's" and Eubank is muttering "is he for real?" then Toney says how he would whip Eubanks ass and that Eubank is a phoney and Eubanks says "James, may i say something? i think you are completely ignorant", nigel Benn called them both clowns.

Eubank was HUMBLED in the first Benn fight, he didnt expect any fight to be so tough & it was obvious Benn humbled him abit and brought him back down to earth

I remember Eubank's spectacular KO against Johnny Melfah, Eubank strutted up to the camera and said "THAT is why Nigel Benn has crossed the Atlantic and Herol Graham is running scared", he said that while Melfah was being counted out and continued yabbering at the camera for a few mins but we couldn't hear what he was saying and he had to be calmed down by Barry Hearn and Ronnie Davies and then about 5mins later had to be literally pulled away because he had been just standing there posing motionless (high-shorts-wearing, chest-held-high) because Lennox Lewis was ready to come out for his fight, I think it was Eubank's first fight at the Royal Albert Hall since Logan. Benn had fought Melfah in the final of the 86 ABA's and failed to knock him out, and Melfah was stopped prematurely against Graham. Melfah was supposed to be a really good prospect but Eubank finished him, he never was the same again (after Eubank put him to sleep with a long left hook that had quickly followed up a leaping overhand right).
