Yea yea yea Cotto just beat down your boy so now it doesnt mean anything. Typical defense mechanism of butthurt fans everywhere who's fighter was just stopped

And believe me the amount of butthurtness coming from you guys now right is probably equal all 3 of those years combined. Its been 4 days since your man got stopped and you're still crying

He clearly won the 7th too. Smoger said take your time probably so they didn't try to rush, mess up, and then take up even more time.

        Keep reaching though.
He did win the 8th because he got a huge break/breather in the middle of the round after almost exclusively running for the previous round. The 7th was Tony's round.

You dont get to "take your time" unless you've been hit low.

I really wish the fight would've gone on. That way, Cotto could've legitimately STOPPED Margarito, and I could've had SEVERAL laughs by reading comments by people like Dirk Diggler and Maniac as they spun it.

If Cotto had knocked down Margarito with a left hook he didn't see coming (because of the eye), and he was unable to get up at the count of 10, they would've said: "If Margarito's eye was good, that wouldn't have happened! ****** ref! Margarito was up at the count of 9.75 seconds! FIX!"

If Cotto had stopped Margarito with a left hook to the body, they would've said: "Whoop dee doo! Tony could've gotten up! He just refused to do so. Also, I think the punch was low."

If Cotto had trapped Margarito against the ropes and unleashed a barrage on him prompting Smoger to get in there, they would've said: "WTF?! That was a quick stoppage! Smoger's the worst ref in the business! Margarito was playing possum! Haven't you guys ever seen the rope-a-dope?! Go read on your history, newbs!"

If Cotto had hit Margarito with a left hook and knocked him out Pacquiao/Hatton style, they would've said: "Well see, now that's just fake! Margarito was just taking a nap from all the hard work he's put in his career! He's a warrior! Ref should've called time in and let Tony earn his rest! ****** Smoger!"

I'm with the Diggler. Yeah, Tony lost most of the rounds, but he deserved to finish the fight. He betrayed zero signs of discouragement, loss of will or fatigue. And this supposed "manhandling" Cotto's ******ed homeboys think he was doing - have you ever seen a more ungainly display of "clinching" than Cotto half bent over with arms literally wrapped around Tony boring into him with literally all his might while Tony was trying to fight him? LMAO. That **** was wearing down Cotto, too, as well as the constant movement; he was visibly tiring, his face was breaking up and the last three rounds would have been the moments of truth for him. That was a one-eyed, noticeably slower Margarito, too - without the pre-damaged eye, Cotto doesn't get the easy route out and probably gets a tougher first 8 rounds to endure. Utter BS stoppage which robbed everybody.

My boy? Really Tony isnt even in my top 5 favourite fighters. I barely even rate him in terms of elite fighters.

But keep trying to pyscoanalyse my feelings, Dr Phil, instead of talking about the fight.

Nice post. And notice you actually talked about the actual x's and o's of the fight instead of posting google images, saying "ur mad" over n over and edited peoples posts with "fixed it for u".

That was the cotto that fought mosley (and beat mosley, mind you, im actually pleasantly surprised to see cotto wrestling again)

Considering all of the elements of this situation, the stoppage was justified (tho i would like to have seen the fight completed). If marg would have gotten all his paper work for a license turned in on time, we might not have had this discussion. But he waited til the last moment, put nysac in a bad spot to push through a license. All eyes were on margs eye and NYSAC.

Ya, margs a tough sob, but he lost that fight, and it wasnt looking good for him in the later rounds. He wasn landing anything effective, nothing like the body shots in the first fight that payed off later, nothing. His eye was ***ed, Cotto was having his way with marg, circling that way and landing hard shots.

So now you're gonna criticize my usage of words? This shows exactly how butthurt you are.

And i'm Dr.Phil?" Am i the one who is trying to psychoanalyse cotto fans by saying they are "projecting"? I dont have to be Dr. Phil to realize exactly how butthurt you are. Its pretty ****ing obvious

You criticize Cotto fans for repeating and psychoanalysing but thats all you've been doing since your fighter lost on saturday
