I think that Martinez should make Pirog a good offer, and smoke him.

*** Pirog, he has talked enough **** lately.

Sure, afterwards, everyone will say that he was too green, and some will insinuate that Martinez cherry-picked a green kid, but *** him, and *** his ignorant " fans ".

The annoying thing is..... I doubt that very many of Pirog's " fans " are actually genuine fans of Pirog himself. They seem to be people who blindly support european fighters, regardless as to who they are, or whether they are any good..... Martinez haters..... and *******s.

I say do it. Give him his payday.

pirog is recognized as one of the best middleweights in the world, has a belt and he beat one of hbo's hype-sters so that right there should get him a shot. ortiz beat one of their hype-sters and got a shot at floyd. why wouldn't he fight pirog? macklins win over sturm doesn't look so hot now that we know sturm can't outclass anyone anymore. macklin lost to varon in the fight before sturm. it was just a mirage because sturm is so crap. don't buy into the 1 fight wonders!

So Pirog comes over here and beats a prospect, some how gets a title in all of that, then runs to Russia and tries to get other champions or high ranking MWs to go to Moscow to fight him on his own turf, so he can make more money by packing local venues... then complains when another champion doesn't want to leave his homeland and the money he's making there, to fight him in Russia?

Oh yeah, no hypocrisy in there whatsoever.

Pirog will remain as irrelevant as he was before Danny Jacobs, as he is now, with every fight in Russia. He had a chance to "progress his career" - to borrow his words - and capitalize on his new found stardom in the US, but instead chose to pull a Felix Sturm and go fight at home for money.

The awful thing, is that Pirog and Sturm are no different than a lot of other local champs that refuse to fight the best outside of their home turf and for once put boxing glory in front of large gates. A shame, but, its the boxing world we live in these days.

Pirog is the true king at 160 and Martinez and Sturm both know it. They will continue to duck him like the plague because he has 1 punch ko power.

Pirog gives Martinez a boxing lesson or possibly knock him out. Pirog isn't your typical Euro bums, he got mad skills.

He has a notable win, overall better comp, and has looked more impressive.

Don't get me wrong, Barker is nice, better than Macklin.

Pirog is willing to fight in Russia or USA or South America, it doesnt matter. The fact is all best middleweights are avoidning him big time.

                      Not by me man.

I agree that he could be, and I would love to see him attempt to prove it.

Beating 1 green kid does not make you one of the best.
