I see no need for a catchweight, it wouldnt make a difference as both guys are not that big. Set the fight at 154, let each fighter weigh in at his comfortable weight. Pac around 145-150, cotto will be around 152

I see no need for a rematch.

I'm starting to see the correlation between Manny having subpar performances (Margarito, Mosley, Marquez) and the time he got into politics (post Clottey fight).
Stop it. He's focused on boxing. We always hear how of all the distractions that are going on when he is in camp and all that. But in his recent fight we didn't hear that. All we heard was how hard he was training (like he normally does) and all that.

Cotto CAN'T Beat Pacquiao, Then Or Now!

Nothing has changed for Cotto except he's a few years older, and he proved he was and STILL is better than Margarito. If anything, Cotto should extend a rematch to Shane Mosley.

Cotto isn't beating manny even at 154. Manny is too active

This would be a better fight than the last one though. Cotto has been at 154 for a few fights now and feels comfortable there. He has slowed down yet his confidence level now will overcome some of that. Mentally cotto was a beaten man, that has changed with recent performances and new techniques. Plus the gameplan to at least survive manny is right there for all to see.

Cotto deserves a manny or floyd fight. The man suffered a major career setback due to criminal action. He should be rewarded with a huge financial fight.

at 154 cotto could beat pacquiao, but at 145 there's no way he could beat pacquiao, he's too slow for pacquiao.

If Cotto fights the same way against Pac, he gets murdered, but if establishes that great jab of his, feint it every once and while, then throw a good straight right hand at Pac to keep him off balance, maintain his stamina, tie Pac up whereby Pac can't get off as much, then maybe he has a decent shot. Can Cotto do all of that while trying to avoid 4 and 6 punch combinations, I don't think so??

In my opinion, to beat a great offensive fighter like Pac, you need to be an extremely accurate counterpuncher--which is why JMM gives Pac some many problems. A great counterpuncher is all about waiting for the other guy to commit, then he shoots. Cotto doesn't fight like that, Cotto's all about applying pressure and getting into exchanges, which is a virtual death wish against a quick handed, explosive puncher like Pac.

Cotto vs Pac II would sort of look like the first fight--with Cotto obviously making a few adjustments, maybe he wins a few more rounds but not enough to get the victory.

To be honest with you, I think Cotto's pressure style gives Floyd more problems than Pac. I always wanted to see that fight...

I'm with everyone else, I think Cotto should leave Pac alone bro.

No pun intended, but he just doesn't have the style to beat Pac.

What is cotto thinking? On his performance against margarito? Margarito is a walking target but a tough sob cotto is an excellent fighter but not up their with the elite fighter's I'm talkin mayweather marquez and then pac...notice how I put them in order?cotto is good just not up there with the elite although it would be entertaining cotto pac2.
