Absolutely, Chávez said that he knew he had to finish Roger because he just wouldn´t be able to take more of his punches.

        lol @ feather fisted Roger.

Pernell Whitaker would toy with and humiliate Pacquiao. Pac is a totally different fighter if his man isn't coming forward. Come at him and try to outfight him, you have a nightmare on your hands. 9 champions out of 10 aren't outslugging Pac head to head. But move backwards and to his right and he's totally baffled. Combine that with Whitaker's high output, incredible in the pocket defense and vicious body punching and you have a nightmare matchup for Pacquiao.

Pernell takes it on points, his defense is too good. Close fight that he takes by 2 or 3 rounds

12 rounder? Sweet Pea by 116-112. If Pacman could touch him up though he could stop him.

Sweet Pea would win on points, then we would get endless threads about how it is cheating when Pea ducks below the waist and that the win shouldn't count because these underhanded dirty tactics.

Tito Trinidad teeing off on a shot to hell version of Whitaker couldn't stop him. What have you observed in Pernell's career demonstrates that he could be stopped period?

for one, pac connects from weird angles that you could not see coming...thats the hardest punch there is in the book , the one you could'nt see coming....

In most cases, that's right. But Tito's punches are harder than Pac's, period. He's bigger with more technique. Trinidad is one of the all time p4p punchers. He landed enough punches on a shot Whitaker's chin to demonstrate to me that it's pretty much uncrackable. And anyway, the point is moot, Pac wouldn't be able to land anything anyway.
