Like someone said: looked the Devil, stood up to him, beat him, and came up the better man.

Uhhh no, one question though if cotto lost the first fight who on earth let him decide the place of the second fight? He did say if no msg no fight why? so nowadays the losers get to get paid more and pick the location? Just some food for thought....

Dude you sound bitter lol. Cotto has the bigger purse. He invested money to help Arum promote the event and is the star of the rematch no matter what. Bottom line is Cotto sells out NY stadiums and Marg doesn't have that same drawing power. Arum learned on Saturday that Cotto was no longer a 'yes man'. He wasn't going to cater to Bob in the future. It's common sense.......c'mon son.

Even simpler: Cotto was the champion.

            Still is.

You can tell that Cotto felt really fulfilled after the fight. I'm glad.

The point is Tony is the kinda fighter that can pull a fight out in the later rounds where he outlasts, outmans and outwills someone.

Whatever, Cotto fans are projecting at the moment like this is some monumental revenge when its really just a nothing win. They should fight again in all honesty.
Ah, STFO Man. Here you feel better now? I know, I know, its nice and warm, and you will quit crying now. Good boy, because if you continue Ill have to that as$.

Lisent man, as you said it. Tony was out boxed, out classed, out manned, bullied and completely butt****d by Cotto. Plain and simple.

Cotto was the one pushing him, landing all the combos, power punches, and everything else.

Cotto displayed the best OFFENSE and DEFENSE, speed, movement, etc. Tony blocked every combo, jab, hook, UC with his face. Miguel was landing some bombs on rounds 8-9, people say that he was slowing down? Hell no. He was staying his ground, pushing Margarito, landing some sick combos and power punches and rocking Tony's head, and he did nothing but hawler like a bi7ch since he could not do anything about it and knew deep inside that he was getting his as$ beat, and did not want to "look bad" in front of his hardheaded fans, he wanted to be "macho" and "cool" and "woohoo" as he was getting his face 7ucked to groundbeef.

Now, how do you feel about that ? Its good ahh? Go to sleep and count plastered wraps.....that may put you to sleep.

Enough to beat Margarito, and the two Mex premadonas: Cano and Jr.

You're making an arse out of yourself in this thread, pure and simple. **** the 'butthurt' ****, you're delusional. Margarito had no power in the fight, just like he had no power against Garcia and no power against Pacquiao. Cotto hadn't taken enough punishment for those smothered shots to take an effect in the last three rounds and while I'll agree with you that the fight was stopped unnecessarily, it didn't make any difference really. Margarito is, was and always will be a walking punching bag with superb stamina, a rock solid chin and good power, but there will always be the su****ion that his power came from plaster-wraps and based on his last four performances, it's not unfair to be su****ious. Without that power, Margarito would have been a toughnut journeyman or gatekeeper at best, used by prospects to get some rounds in.

10oz. Everlast gloves, catchweight, Marg's bad eye, I mean seriously.
10oz. are standard for a fight of this weight class by the unified rules of boxing organizations, there really wasn't anything wrong with it.
8oz. gloves are used in welterweight fights and below, which also was Cotto vs. Margarito I. As already said many times, 10oz. Cletos are softer than than 10oz. Grant's or Everlast MX.

The catchweight was just 1lb, not a massive deal considering Margarito weighed in at 152.5lbs and looked in a pretty good shape. No excuse there.

The bad eye - everybody knew it would be a problem, Margarito's team also knew and said "we are ready". From what I've seen Margarito did hold up his right hand higher than usually and they had some special equipment in his corner to fix the swelling - but it didn't seem to help much.

And of course Pacman destroyed Margarito. :wank:
