You're making an arse out of yourself in this thread, pure and simple. **** the 'butthurt' ****, you're delusional. Margarito had no power in the fight, just like he had no power against Garcia and no power against Pacquiao. Cotto hadn't taken enough punishment for those smothered shots to take an effect in the last three rounds and while I'll agree with you that the fight was stopped unnecessarily, it didn't make any difference really. Margarito is, was and always will be a walking punching bag with superb stamina, a rock solid chin and good power, but there will always be the su****ion that his power came from plaster-wraps and based on his last four performances, it's not unfair to be su****ious. Without that power, Margarito would have been a toughnut journeyman or gatekeeper at best, used by prospects to get some rounds in.
The evidence is that Miguel tires in the late rounds and Tony gets stronger. I dont see how anyone can say it makes no difference that the championship rounds were taken out of the equation in a fight like that.

Whats wrong with me? How can you all tell what is going to happen in 3 full rounds of fighting. Since when is Tony being way behind something new? Its like that surprises you people....

Do you watch boxing? Only a couple of weeks ago, Prescott was way ahead against Alvarado and he gassed the *** out in the 12th and got stopped. Jermain Taylor was ahead agaisnt Froch and he gassed and got stopped.

Did you watch the first fight? Margarito started to pick up after the 6th round already, and Cotto was considerably worse off in the 9th round of that fight. I have seen no indication at all, that Margarito would be able to beat Cotto in the last 3 rounds, and neither did the commission. It was a masterfully timed stoppage, done at just the right moment, so nobody could really complain about anything. And I have a certain level of disgust over the way the NYSAC have dealt with this fight.

That's your evidence? Cotto tiring significantly in one fight against an opponent who may have had plaster-wraps aiding him? Weak. The last time Margarito got stronger in the later rounds was in the first fight against Cotto, coincidentally the fight before he was caught with illegal plaster wraps; wraps that would typically harden in the later rounds of a fight as hands get sweatier. No conclusive proof that was the case, but it doesn't look good when you add up the circumstantial 'evidence', especially as Margarito hasn't shown that miraculous late round surge since being caught. Maybe that's the case because he has been in the ring with better fighters, maybe that's the case because he has become a shot fighter since his Mosley beating or maybe it's because he no longer has the aid of plaster-wraps. Whichever way you spin it, nothing supports the idea that Margarito was suddenly going to finish the way he used to in the second Cotto fight.

No indication? So they just rob us of the chance to see it play out? Horrible stoppage.

Cotto got tired against Mosley. He was running from Josh Clottey. You're harping on about plaster but saying I have no evidence?

Margarito hasnt shown a late surge because Mosley and Pacquaio actually beat the ***** out of him. Miguel didnt, as much as his fans try to convince everyone that he did.
